Corporate Development Memo (7/4/2021)

Happy 4th of July for those Americans that celebrate it!

I wanted to use my post this week to talk about the overall state of 0.5.  I am crossing now 900 images, and about 45k words or so, so it is starting to get past Version 0.3, and closer towards the size of 0.4.  I have figured out that because of the multiple branching paths, it is very difficult to have a large update with playtime for more than one path without making it kind of large.

I am trying to finish 0.5 by the end of this month.  I am assuming I can get near 1300-1400 images by then, and I am hoping that is enough for the size.  I am also considering not billing for August if I don't finish this month, as I have always said I don't want to charge Patrons when I feel I am not working fast enough.  My real work and overall life has been extremely hectic in the last two months, so I feel I am working reasonably fast, but not at the speed I want right now.  But, I am making a lot of time this month to work a little faster, so I am hoping I can sprint to the finish pretty well!

I have finished for 0.5 what I would call the divergent paths section in which there are branches kind of splitting up and then coming back towards the main branch.  This is for Kane, and Olivia I am about done with her own split paths.  After that, most of the story kind of bends back to two main tree trunks (mostly higher ranking/dom and lower ranking/sub although it is possible this update for a sub player to rank up for the first time) to close out the episode.

I will try and gauge this a little better after another 10 days or so.  I'm freeing up some extra time to work, and I hope to make good use of it.  I am also doing a lot of music/editing this week for what I have already done, and this usually gives me a nice charge of energy as well.

I've made some decisions about long-term solutions for 0.6, as I am probably going to try and hire a fourth person for the interior design business to give me some sanity with time.  I did hire a third person earlier this year, but even with her (Anais!), the business is slamming and both my partner and I realize we better make a move soon.  So I think I'll be doing that in August.

I am putting together the 1700 poll with a choice scene for Olivia.  I was hoping to do this last month, but I'll do it this month and start working on the scene too.  I am going to include the idea from Anais but keep it anonymous, I figure the best idea will win.  Please forgive me if you sent something and you somehow don't see it.  I think I may have lost 1-2 submissions, so if you are really hellbent on your idea, you can always double check with me.  :)
