SUBJECT: Karlsson's Gambit Development Update (6/28/2020)
Hi all,
Making this a public post this time. I have good and bad news. The bad news is that based on what I left to do, I think I need to move back everything about 3-4 days or so from my goal of tomorrow. I am on the very last scene, but it's quite a lot of work and I still want to do some final edits and checks. I think I could be finished by tomorrow, but more likely 2 days to actually finish and then I want to test it. I am editing as I go, and am 90% done there too. I just want to make sure I can test it properly, I feel like I have been going so fast these past two weeks that I have been flying by normal testing like I like to do, etc.!
Now the good news is the reason for the small delay is because I was basing my first goal on an estimated 550-565 renders or so when I was guessing on June 14th. In fact, I will definitely be closer to 650 renders at the end so the update is considerably more than I thought, especially when I started and was aiming for about 455 renders like my first version 0.1 was in total. I just wanted to end 0.2 where it made most sense, and it just naturally got to over 600 renders, so if you remember my prior message, I was a little concerned about that possibility, and I guess it happened.
Weekly Progress:
(6/22/2020 to 6/28/2020): 111 renders, 3,000 words
Overall 0.2 Progress: 620 renders, 23,700 words
Progress: (100% script, 95% renders, 90% editing, 100% music)
I am now locked with the script and renders to still do, so there shouldn't be any more issues and I am still pretty happy I will end up very close to July 1 with frankly almost an extra 200 renders from what I guessed way back on May 1 when I set the goal in the first place!
