Tiefling Soap ideas

I've been working on this AU. This is just an intro to Soap (I'm still working on Ghost and their dynamic). I wanted him to stay somewhat true to his character. This is still a work-in-progress and subject to change. Mostly I just want this to be a fun AU and not be too sticky with details and rules and things lol.

(I've been drawing him with a broken horn but I dunno if that will stick. Horns, piercings, clothing, all of that is very loosely imagined at the moment)

Soap in COD is a perfectionist, confident, career-driven, a team player, and has very strong morals (I'm going to post my Soap headcanon post soon, its just very very long 😭), but in THIS universe he’s a tiefling and ostracized (as tieflings generally are). Similarly to SAS!Soap, Tiefling!Soap wants to be a soldier. But there aren't many cities willing to hire a tiefling and train them as a soldier. He was always turned away or laughed off, or even attacked. So instead he tries his hand as a bounty hunter, hoping to prove himself.

His knack for explosives/chemistry and making traps and things really aided him, and he’s very clever. Although he's highly suspicious and talkative (just like canon-Soap lmao), he genuinely wants to help people and do the right thing. He comes across as generally easy going and trustworthy, confident, and motivated, which earns him unlikely allies.

But he was still getting screwed over for bounties: he wouldn’t get paid enough, he’d get jumped or harassed by other bounty hunters and they’d steal his bounties or his things. Sometimes his bounties escape because of the soldiers'/other peoples' incompetence or some legal fine print that they seem to have just made up on the spot. So he sells explosives/other shit on the side to make enough money to eat, etc.

He may start to hold a grudge against the soldiers, the elite, etc, when he sees not just the unfairness and injustice towards himself, but also seeing how so many other people are treated. Not just tieflings but orcs, drow, etc, and anyone who's poor or exiled from society for one reason or another. So he may start to steal from wealthier people, or even fuck with the soldiers in order to help the poor, like a Robin Hood type hero. (And maybe just a little bit of it is to soothe his own anger and betrayal...)
