Now you need to watch Godfather ll and lll ✨

Super excited to watch this with you guys!

Trivia: Coppola found the kitty in the beginning as a stray on the movie lot and decided last minute to have Brando hold it and pet it. Such a weird last minute thing that became iconic.

If anyone is interested there is a really good film on Amazon Prime or Paramount+ titled "The Offer". It is a fascinating film on all the difficulty the producer, director and writer had in getting this film made. Think how the Mafia and Frank Sinatra would have felt about this movie.

Woo!

Just checked, Trin had audio issues but it goes away later (it will come back again but not all the way), we had similar issues with Daredevil tonight but am hoping we fixed them. We did not notice during the recording but yeah it seems like static for some reason :(

Anyone else have audio issues around the 1:11 mark?

This movie is great to watch if you read the book by Mario Puzo. In the movie, there are some things that are left unexplained, unless you read the book. Like Michael's ever present bruise. What happened is that he has a broken facial bone that didn't set right and that caused permanent bruise and nasal problems. After returning to US, Michael had a surgery to fix it. I don't understand why the bruise was left in the movie without the explanation. So many reactors think that days instead of months passed, simply because he is still bruised.

I just wish they would flesh out Luca Brasi more in the movie. If you read the book, you know what he is and what he is capable of. He'd scare Jack the Ripper to death. But in the movie - he's just one of the muscle and dies quickly. Even thought Luca Brasi was the only person that Don Corleone was afraid of - hence the not wanting to see him in his office, at the wedding.

Hey Rob, if you got a beef with Jersey, you'll be sleeping with the fishes! Nah, really though, the quintessential Mafia film and probably one of the most influential movies overall. The editing of the baptism scene is legendary and of course Brando and Pacino...what more needs to be said.

A reaction we can't refuse. Thank you for that. Time flew by because it's simply a great movie. Part 2 is just as good.
