R&T picks will save us again ๐Ÿ™

How about this for 1 or 2 months; no sci-fi, no fantasy, no horror, nothing with a sequel. I won't include superheroes because we already have plenty of time allocated for that. This would leave us with the meager offerings in drama, adventure, comedy, action, thriller, love story, western, historical, etc. I'm sure we can find a few that appeal to the masses. And then we can return to multi-genre bubblegum.

gdcalhoun

we do tend to pick higher rated choices for our picks. When we did genre stuff or even a decade option it still ended up the same. I appreciate the ideas tho and will have a think about how we can do something new in July. Director only choices might be limited cause we have already done a lot of Fincher and Tarantino lol. Without feedback we are flying blind cause we have not seen most of the options anyways ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Just a thought - what if we experimented with themed months to help elevate the overall quality of the films in the mix? For example, we could have a month limited to only IMDb 8.5+ rated films, another featuring only Oscar winners, or a month dedicated to movies by just one or two acclaimed directors (like Tarantino, Fincher, etc.). I think a big part of the frustration some people feel is that truly exceptional, critically acclaimed films often end up losing out to more mainstream blockbusters or mid-tier picks. By setting some higher standards for certain months, we can ensure that every option in the poll is high quality, which would give top-tier films a fairer chance and lead to more rewarding watch experiences overall.

I simply love movies. I like all kinds of movies. I find interesting movies in every genre. I just want to be entertained. Rob & Trin's reactions are great because it gives me the feeling that I can watch the films with someone. I haven't seen any bad films here yet and I've always been entertained. I already know most of the films, but I like to watch them again here as a reaction. No matter which films win or are chosen each month, I always watch them all, without exception. The reason for this is Rob & Trin because they are both so friendly and likable. So don't always moan about these lists and just have a good time.

AnGeLuS

The reason we added our own picks in the first place was so that we could please the masses and also add a little randomness to the Month. Trying to do the best of both worlds. We do a lot of movies each month overall. We totally do not take it personally but just wanted the majority to have their say outside of what we pick ๐Ÿ’• Everyone is entitled to speak out about what they would rather see and it is helpful overall ๐Ÿ˜Š

Take a Ticket

Exactly. I don't want to be negative, but it's been like 6 months in a row of really weird choices.

Andy Walker

Oof these are not great

Thurrak

a 'try again' button would be amazing

Sydney Elizabeth

These are mostly far too cerebral for me.

Moan moan moan moan moan , moan! Throws dummy out the pram lol

TheGrouch74

I would like to see The Assassination of Jesse James by The Coward Robert Ford (2007) on a poll. A sophisticated poll for sophisticated people.

YoureMrLebowski

I'm ok with people complaining about polls. I gave Happy Death Day and Final Destination 2 my vote, but honestly would have picked "try again" if it was an option. I just think it's hard to get a good reaction from a so so movie.

YoureMrLebowski

FANTASTIC!

James

Voting for Fantastic Four. I wish we had a mechanism for favoring less-popular (less well known) movies that have high critical acclaim. For example: โ€ข Furiosa โ€ข The Lighthouse โ€ข Killers of the Flower Moon โ€ข The Northman โ€ข Pig โ€ข Mandy โ€ข Longlegs โ€ข The Green Knight โ€ข The Witch โ€ข Nosferatu (2024) โ€ข Men Popular vote wins tends to favor widely known films, which can sometimes be less sophisticated. Thanks for hearing my rant. Love the channel.

Jordan Tanner

I hope they do wicked before the new one comes out at the end of this year! Iโ€™d love to see them but those views! Can wait to see these reactions as well!! Keep up the good work

Ashlyn Grizzle

Its a small thing but you kinda also failed to consider what R&T want to watch, like obviously they pick their own picks each month, but they can also be excited to watch the poll winners you dislike too. just a thought im not trying to be rude.

RuinFox

I usually dont have a problem with the choices regardless, but the few times i do i just keep it to myself, no point leaving a negative comment complaining about the winners, that doesnt help anyone especially R&T, dont get me wrong you're allowed to be upset and speak your mind, but do you really think leaving a comment complaining will help things or change things?. and yeah same some of these movies ive never heard of but watching with R&T i actually enjoyed quite a few, even more so than if i just watched the film on its own.

RuinFox

Am I the only person that never has a problem with these polls regardless of whatโ€™s chosen? Half of the movies rob and Trin have reacted to Iโ€™ve never even heard of before but I still gave most of them a shot and 90% of the time it was really good

James

Honestly I feel like when franchises win a poll the sequels should automatically follow or it's just incomplete and relying on others makes it frustrating. There are 11 films in the series and some I don't like but I'd still rather it be complete than dropped off or only doing certain ones

Ae Jae Meade

Okay? That's your opinion. Which you're entitled to but why are you complaining that someone else enjoys something you don't?

Ae Jae Meade

I don't understand people's obsession with the Now You See Me movies..I won't spoil anything here but I will non-spoiler sum it up to: yuck..To each their own, I suppose..

Superpotroast

Hoping Final Destination gets in, would love to continue the series with you guys! #2 is a good one too! Haven't seent he Accountant or Now you see me, but they both look good too. Other than that am crossing fingers for R&T picks. You should do a month of just your picks! Because honestly, en masse we suck at picking movies for you ๐Ÿคฃ So many good ones get missed every month.

Elle

I'd actually rather they did that too.

Stephanie Bedworth

Those would be my 2 top picks from this list as well... and of course they are currently the lowest vote-getters. I really don't know why we can't have a month of much narrower criteria for more significant movies.

Octavia

Shelley

Hmmm. I think I'll definitely wait for the personal picks this month.

Stephanie Bedworth

Of the movies that actually made it into the polls, Iโ€™m mostly disappointed that Ex Machina and The Nice Guys, and Eternal Sunshine didnโ€™t make the final cut.

Jan T

I can only support Happy Death Day, and The Accountant for Rob and Trin to watch from this list. At least Happy Death Day is fun, and The Accountant is moderately entertaining.

Jan T

When the Fast & Furious franchise is considered the most worth watching... it's a sad testament. (And I like a few of them... but they are just mindless rote.) As far as action/thrillers go... The Fugitive (Harrison Ford) is both fun and well done... and was nominated for Best Picture. That's the quality bar that I prefer.

Octavia

Fingers crossed for Hancock!

Ae Jae Meade

Final Destination 2, Happy Death Day and Fantastic Four, those are ones I wanna see win for sure

JustJordan

Absolutely none of these movies appeal to me. Hamilton never happens, Dances with wolves never happens. I suggested Wicked because it was a more recent movie that did really well at the box office but that didn't really help. I always have such high hopes for these polls. Well maybe they will fare better next month. I'm sure Rob and Trin will pick some good ones. I'm not voting in this final poll. Sorry to be so negative. I just needed to vent a little.

Bradley Weeks

Happy Death Day, Final Destination 2, Hancock and Now You See Me for my top 4. Too bad my choice From Dusk Till Dawn didn't make it, maybe next time.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

I had a hard time picking from the tier before this one. This one is just...

Mony

๐Ÿ˜ฃ๐Ÿ˜ฃ the listโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ I was really waiting for โ€œThe Nunโ€ movies maybe next time

Nora

I think I'm becoming the old man who just doesn't get it anymore. We had so many heavy hitters in the polls this month too. We all have different tastes though I guess.

Captain

I really don't get it either, but the saving grace is the variety, I suppose.

Andy Walker

Out of all the S-Tier films recommended.... This is Honestly why I stopped participating in the polls. Hoping their picks are solid.

Andy Walker

Itโ€™s mental how poor the final poll options have been, it baffles my mind

CardboardSpoon

This is too funny! ;)) To think we had: American History X, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Big Lebowski, Lรฉon: The Professional , Parasite, Ex Machina, Blade Runner 2049, The Nice Guys, Memento....

Chris B

Another group of promising polls only to end up with the worst left๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ hope the Rob and trin picks make up for it. Really not trying to be that guy, but I'm really starting to feel like this is every time now. I get we all have our tastes but yeeesh
