Billy Burke starred in a really decent post apocalyptic show called Revolution a while back. I was disappointed when it got cancelled after the second season. It was an Eric Kripke show, the same dude who did Supernatural and The Boys.

2025-03-01 03:27:13 +0000 UTCI can't speak for all the voters of The Suicide Squad, but as my suggestion, you have my blessing to skip it and watch Suicide Squad (2016) first as long as you promise to circle back to this. I suggested it before but it never made it to the 1st poll, much less the final poll. Actually never had anything make it to a poll. So this was kinda cool. I didn't know it would upset people so much. They haven't seemed very interested in the DCEU here so it really didn't seem like that big of a deal to skip to this. On second thought, I know they would enjoy seeing HQ's orgin. I really love the actress that plays Waller. She's my favorite actress and I know there's another familiar face they'll love. Personally Deadshot is my favorite from this squad. I enjoy it less than the 2021 version but I agree they should probably watch it first. When I first watched the 2021 version, I had to immediately go back and watch 2016 to get some back story to even know what I was watching. I'm not hard-core into DC but I decided to watch it bc of James Gunn and Peacemaker.

Truly great quality movies get passed up for lowest common denominator, all the time. I would love to see much narrower polls sometime. Like a short poll for Westerns, for Period Pieces, for Animated, for Action, for Franchise continuation, for specific actors or directors (like a short poll of Gene Hackman movies now that he has died), etc... each winner would be a week in a month. The next month would be 4 different genres. Not perfect... but a little more something for everyone.

I know some people will be lighthearted with their disappointment, but it's more so the folk who are undeniably 'stroppy' and judgemental who wind me up. I often haven't seen/have a clue about some of the movies picked but I'll give them a watch anyway to see if I discover a new favourite. Unless it looks too scary cause I'm a wimp haha. As others commented a 'good movie' is entirely subjective as we all are individuals with our own preferences, and nobody is 'wrong' for liking one movie over another. But we simply don't need to throw a tantrum in the comments if we personally don't like the movies voted for. I'm hopeful that the folk who do throw a wobbly every time aren't intending to - and that they appreciate Rob & Trins efforts when they try to keep as many folk happy as possible.

Maybe self-righteous? Like their opinions matter more than the majority. We will never make everyone happy either way and we just trust that people are voting for what they want. Not sure we have the time to check other reactors for a summery of the overall libraries. Totally get the frustration but we added our picks so Trin and I could watch stuff that appeal to us but now they have become a method to mix it up. I'm still here because Rob and Trin are the best reactors out there. Love them! Then I end up not watching most of the poll winners. But, every once in a while a great one makes it through. And that's why I'm still here.
