The Expanse S6E5+6 Why We Fight - Babylon's Ashes

For the continuation of the Laconia Plot, make sure to read the last three books of the series! It will also clear up a lot about the history of things, like the ring builder empire, etc.

Well, I'm sad that the reactions for this one have come to an end. For me, it really was a fairly satisfying ending to a great show. Unfortunately I won't be joining you for SOA. I watched that show and once was enough for me. LOL

What a wonderful journey! Thank you for the ride, it was an awesome experience. I will be missing this characters dearly.

I was worried that with only 6 episodes this final season wouldn't do the story justice, but that last episode was riveting. The extended sequence with Amos dropping toward the ring station...I flinched with every near-miss. Here's hoping the rumors of a possible continuation to adapt books 7-9 come true.

I caught Ripley and thought they were doing something like that (there have been Easter eggs all over this show), but didn't realize to what extent.

I love Naomis speech at the end, and it makes the scene in season 5 so much more impactful because those were probably the most important words he could hear, "Sometimes the only choice you have is to walk away." Also, there is actually a teeny tiny thing at the very end of the credits. It's not much, just a brief glimpse of something protomolecule looking start to come through the ring.

Mark Bigwood

That is SO COOL! I never caught that

My favorite part of the final episode, is all the names of the soldiers loaded into the pods, in the assault on Medina station. It was a ton of names of famous sci-fi characters - Ripley (Alien), Thrace (Battlestar Galactica), Hudson, Hicks, and Vasquez (Aliens), Gial Ackbar (Return of the Jedi), Duncan Idaho (Dune), Edward Buck (Halo games), Commander Shepard (Mass Effect game), Douglas Quaid (Total Recall), Alex Rogan (The Last Starfighter), David Bowman (2001: A Space Odyssey), Jason Nesmith (Galaxy Quest), Joseph Cooper (Interstellar), Rick Deckard (Blade Runner), John Anderton (Minority Report), J. O’Neil (Stargate), Lone Starr (Spaceballs), Louise Banks (Arrival), Ryan Stone (Gravity), Kevin Flynn (Tron), Roy Neary (Close Encounters of the Third Kind), William Riker (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Johnny Rico (Starship Troopers), and Sarah Connor (Terminator).
