Mad Max Fury Road 2015

Comments

Finally! One of my favorite movies. Definitely check out the video game. I'd recommend playing it before watching furiosa. The game is Canon and takes place between furiosa and fury road.

Reverend Jim Jones

By the way, George Miller is rumored to be directing a couple of Marvel films. Not sure I believe it.

Gerald Colborn

Did I actually see Trin get a name wrong only to be corrected by Rob? What bizarro universe is this?

Gerald Colborn

Also in the original Road Warrior movie was Virginia Hey who played Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan in Farscape. Six degrees of Farsape.

Gerald Colborn

So glad other people caught this.

Hey Rob, It was driving me crazy where I knew the old woman with the seed bag from. It finally came to me. It's Melissa Jaffer, she played Noranti in Farscape. Then you referenced Farscape in the outro. Excellent😆

Not sure why I never got around to watching these movies. It was none stop action the entire time but I loved it. Since I was a kid I had a fascination with high speed car chases where people would jump from car to car fighting each other so this was super satisfying

Rob who says "shortest car chase ever" just before witness the longest ever was very fun! I'm a complete fan of this movie. I hadn't seen the original Mad Max before this one I discovered them afterwards and it just blow my mind and since then I can't stop myself from watching the movie over and over again! the video game is also really fun and adds a lot of detail to the universe and other points of view the latest movie Furiosa is also very good and actually makes me think about the game a lot !! Hope you guys will react to it in the future !

Finally I'm home I can watch it, I've been hoping and waiting for this reaction for so long I'm actually happy it's here 🥲 Now that I watched it, yes Rob you should definitely check the making-of, you might be surprised at the amount of practical effects in this movie ! Anyway great reaction as always, now I'm ready to spent the next two years trying to make you watch the Furiosa spin-off like for this one 🫡

George Miller is the director of this movie and is a living legend but there with the Ridley Scott's and George Lucas' in that their films influenced entire genres. The OG Madmax came out like 50y ago and had a massive ripple effect on any post-apoc stuff that came afterword in pretty much every genre/media. The original Madmax trilogy is a very odd and hits different for everyone but to me it is unique and awesome. Miller made a bunch of very much not Madmax type films over the intervening 30y; stuff like Happy Feet and the 'Babe: Pig in the City' movies. Then in 2015, at like 70+ years old, makes one of the best action movies ever. I still need to see Furiosa but I have no doubt I will dig it from what I have seen of it. Immortan Joe was played by Hugh Keyes-Byrne who also played the Toecutter, the big-bad in the original Madmax. Sadly, he passed away 2020. The game is pretty good as long as you are okay with open world actiony type games. It's very cheap when on sale. It had some interference during production and came out going up againsy some big titles so it got overlooked but it is kind of a sleeper.

First Deadpool and Wolverine, Now Mad Max Fury Road... man, this week was awesome for flicks. Now...if we had Dredd this week as well...oh boy, my man ovaries would explode.

This movie is amazing every time I see it, and I hope ya guys do the prequel Furiosa

I hope you realize that there actually IS a lack of CGI! Most of the stunts are real. It's all practical effects. There is of course some added cgi, but the movie doesn't rely on it. Which is why it was one of the hardest movies to make and why it's one of the greatest action movies ever made. It won 6 oscars.

"That was the shortest car chase I've ever seen" which is followed by the longest car chase you've ever seen lmao.

Ghost Mom

Witness the greatest action movie of the last 25 years. I watched this in the cinema in 2015 (multiple times) and it was one of the greatest experiences of all time. It's insane what George Miller was able pull off. One of the best directed movies I've ever seen. The stunt work is crazy. The plot is very thin and yet the movie has so much depth. The characters are great, especially Furiosa. I loved the original trilogy with Mel Gibson. And I think it's important to know that George Miller directed them as well. And even though I love Tom Hardy - I still prefer Mel in the role of Max. - But this was excellent in every way. Masterpiece.
