Alright, season 5 of The Expanse coming up! Arguably, the best season of the entire series! I can't wait!

As usual, for me at least, seeing great characters grow and interact is so much of why this show is so incredible and easy to invest in. Klaes Ashford, "The Ghost-knife of Callisto" (Such a cool nickname) has become a man of such wisdom that we feel a great loss for a person we initially disliked and distrusted. David Strathairn was, as always, so good in his role. I think we might see him in something else soon. Likewise, Avaserala, while not giving an inch of her strength away, has come to see a wider picture for all the people of the system. Such great, amazingly layered characters. For anyone interested in seeing Frankie Adam's (Bobbie) really stretch in another role, check out "The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart" with Sigourney Weaver and Alycia Debnam-Carey ("Fear the Walking Dead"). Frankie plays Candy Blue, a character remarkably different from Bobbie Draper. A very good series worth a watch that will almost certainly never find itself on a reaction channel.

2025-01-01 14:41:58 +0000 UTCGreat choice to go with no music during Ashford's death. You know it's coming, so leaving only sound effects and his singing on the soundtrack makes it more poignant. And can we talk about how the ambush on Mars was done in a single shot (albeit with a few hidden cuts). Give the camera operator a raise. It's a difficult thing to seamlessly pull off scenes like that....so Bobbie's timing doesn't always suck...

But the way he went out, with a f**k you to Marco and singing the song he sang to his daughter, was fitting at least. Excited for season 5!
