Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Comments

Me and my husband watched this when it came out and we laughed our butts off. It was such a surprise movie !! I’m really shocked it’s not more popular bc it’s unique and funny and dale & tucker are hilarious!!!

Michele G

Dale's actor was on Planet of the Apes, pacient zero

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Resident Alien is now in my top 3 favorite series.

Cindy

Your comment reminded me why I love the film "Drowning Mona". Someone had recommended it in the poll and I certainly voted for it. There is some satire in the film, but the humor also comes from situations, or character, rather than dialogue. The humor is more subtle than most of the voted for films this month and I find films like DM more satisfying.

Cindy

Agree with you... I like this type of 'played seriously' satire over Scary Movie style. A less known 'horror' one that I've always enjoyed is Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Very knowing humor. Takes a lot of preparation and cardio to be a slasher killer.

Octavia

I agree. I find it fascinating how words and actions can be taken out of context to create a story you thought you knew when you really didn't. There is an animated film that does this titled "Hoodwinked" from 2005 I found to be a lot of fun.

Cindy

I am not a fan of "slasher" films, but I really did enjoy this, mostly due to the main actors. The subtleties were the most fun. How many people would think college kids came to the woods just to kill themselves in front of you, instead of automatically thinking they are trying to kill you?! I also am a Tudyk fan.

Cindy

I second this

James

That was very unexpected fun! Thank you to the ones that voted and suggested it. Never would have check it out on my own.

Well....I think Cocaine Bear should be next, LOL.

RavenLord

Always love him... from A Knight's Tale to Resident Alien. And he has such a great, recognizable voice.

Octavia

hahaha i'm so glad that you guys got around to one of my fave movies....it's so funny! the beehive scene is hysterical. thank you and glad that ya'll loved it too

Vonnie Stewart

That was fun! The scene with the beehive and the chainsaw just cracked me up πŸ˜‚.

It is such a fun movie, and it has changed forever how I see any slasher flick. I prefer this kind of satire over stuff like 'Scary Movie'. It reminds me a lot of another great satirical but dark take on the slasher flick is 'Cabin in the Woods' which you watched last year. That was co-written and directed by Drew Goddard. You're very familiar with his work whether you know it or not; Drew did episodes of 'The Good Place', Buffy, Angel, and is one of the creator/writers for 'Daredevil' so it overlaps pretty hard with a bunch of stuff y'all are watching right now.

James W.

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸŽŠ yes! Thank you for choosing it.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Repeating others: I needed this! ❣️

Jessi

I've never seen this before. It was so much fun. I love Dale. He's a cutie.

Bradley Weeks

Really cool movie I’ve heard about it for a while just never checked it out. I loved the whole miscommunication aspect of this movie it’s crazy how much things can be taken out of context

James

I never got around to seeing this one, but I’m a big Alan Tudyk fan, so I’m looking forward to watching this today. πŸ™‚

Jan T
