Agreed... Because even my least favorite aspect of Dexter's life is still really good. The show makes it all compelling in different ways. I just prefer his familial dynamic with Deb more. I think that part of it is that I feel bad that Rita is living a giant lie. And if she knew, she would be horrified. And that whenever Dexter is with Rita and the kids... he's rarely present with them... he's more often thinking of other things. (And another part of it is that her breathy voice irritates me.)

2024-10-01 03:31:18 +0000 UTCI honestly have no recollection of Dexter & Rita's wedding, besides knowing it was on. Perhaps because life with Rita is my least favorite aspect of Dexter. BUT... from the get-go of wedding planning... I thought that Deb was the obvious and only choice for Dexter's best man. She's hands down the best man or woman in his life. And I definitely think Deb should've been included in his bachelor party. I mean... what suits her more... hanging with the guys & drinking... or going out with Rita & Sil (which she might do, I have no clue)??
