I highly recommend the rest of the Blade trilogy, also if you've never see Demolition Man, with Wesley Snipes and Sylvester Stallone, that may be right up your cheesy/action alley.

2024-09-20 13:30:11 +0000 UTCThey gave credit to Robert because every cent Marvel had was put in Iron Man 1, also when people say that they refer to Marvel as a company, while there was Blade and Spiderman and X-men, the movie rights didn't belong to Marvel then, so they weren't malking a profit, Marvel was almost bankrupt a few times. But I agree, all of them were important. Also MCU is supposed to be everything that is connected, like Ironman, Captain America, etc and until a character from the old movies appears togheter with one caracter from the MCU, they are not part of it, though the list of things that are not part of the MCU has shortened lately :), the only ones, if i think of it now, are Agents of shield and some obscure stuff like cloak and dagger maybe(i've never seen it). I mean X-men are in the MCU now, all the spidermen are(-Miles Morales), the netflix show are considered cannon now, so yeah, there are very few things that are not MCU, yet.

I hope we can some how see blade in the main MCU this movie came out a while ago now so I don’t think it’s too likely but I’d love to watch the other 2 blade movies whenever you guys can do them

Additionally, you may not have realized it just yet, but Blade IS in the MCU...and you have already gotten an ever so mysterious and brief introduction to him. I'll just leave it at that. ;)

I'm not going to spoil the surprise but Blade II has an actor that is a VERY familiar face to you both and in my opinion is the strongest in the trilogy. The third film had a shift in tone which some didn't like but it's one I personally enjoy. That's in large part down to the casting and I won't say anything further about that apart from that you can see how one of the performances opened a door to one of the actor's widely known roles later down the line. I'm hoping you react to both sequels to round out the trilogy!

It helps when the actor has a passion for the project as well. Snipes is a Marvel LEGEND! Fun fact: He is also a black belt in two different martial arts fighting styles irl. He has been training in martial arts since he was 12. Agree with Rob, the fight sequences were amazing!

2024-09-08 05:49:41 +0000 UTC(Wesley) ran so (Tobey Maguire) could carry the OG MCU and then passed it to Hugh jackman….This man saved Marvel from Bankruptcy and gave them the legs to run to what they are now. He didn’t get the credit he deserved for starting what we all know and love to this day. Instead they give credit to Robert 🙄. Glad you guys finally got around watching the start of it all ❤️. You guys kinda watched the movies out of order which is why this is confusing. The original MCU starts with Blade until The Incredible Hulk film then we get replaced with Mark ruffalo cause Edward wasn’t agreeing with the studio on how they should handle hulk and so forth. So OG MCU is 1998- 2008 and what you guys are familiar with is what I call New Avengers MCU ( Iron Man 2008 -current)
