So glad I pushed through the first 2 episodes these 2 were great and looking forward to seeing what happens! I’m hooked on this and now Dexter again! Waiting a week is torture 😅😂

What you have to know is that the OPA(Outer Planet Aliance) is technically just a group of people that wants what is best for the belt and the planets/moons/asteroids located after the belt in the solar system (that means after Mars). Like any faction/nation, the OPA is comprised of different people with different views, so some of the OPA members are terorists, not all of them. Ceres is a real dwarf planet(smaller than the moon, thought to have underneath the mantle more water than earth) located in the belt, between Mars and Jupiter. All locations in the expanse's solar system are real, discovered celestial bodies. Also, Holden and his friends technically represent all the factions we know(Earth, Mars, Belt).

Yeah, if you've not read the books, there is a lot in the first few episodes that you're going to miss because you're learning characters..But for the book readers, you're going to notice those little details.. Expanse takes at least 4 episodes to really get going, imo..

Watched the first 2 seasons, caught up, and decided to read the first 2 books, and instead read all of them, because I couldn't stop..It's a great series, hopefully they make the last 3 seasons someday..

What you have to remember for every tv show is: watch at least 5 episodes, otherwise you might miss a great show. Some of them are starting really slow, for agents of shield for example the action really starts around episode 11, for doctor who i would say you get really invested around the end of the fist season, etc.

nice! yeah i told a couple in comments to keep going last week cause really does get great, and then on a rewatch you'll realize how great the first two eps are - just cause you're overloaded and not already attached to characters to care, its a lot to take in

"love the convenient way it turns" You gotta think about the characters and their life experience. They have been living in space for most of their lives if not all of their lives. Zero G is second nature. They could give an object the perfect nudge to end up where they want and oriented how they want. The same way we can toss a piece of trash across the room into a trash can. While compensating for earth's gravity or maybe a breeze It's one thing they stress in the books especially with belters who have spent generations in space dealing with zero G they are simply put -graceful- in that environment no wasted motions no flailing about or loss of control.

It's nice to see a reaction that is completely unaware of the novels -- this is how I began the series. FWIW, I believe this is a great way to start the show, especially this far in. Anyway, I'm glad y'all are here at this point of the show and completely hooked. I'm also glad that you have no idea where this is going - having not read the novels yet - it's so much fun knowing that you two are along for one heck of a ride. :)

This show is full of little details that I never noticed on first watch. The Belter Creole (which is a fully-realized language based on a number of real-world languages) incorporates hand gestures because - according to the books - Belters spend so much time in environment suits on spacewalks it became easier to communicate with their arms.
