I've always loved Jurassic World...it paid homage to the original quite nicely

It doesn't take itself too seriously and it got flaws, but it really is a good time if you just watch to have fun and not analyze it so much. The sequels to this one lose that somewhat by trying to be too serious and tackle real world themes. However if you want to poke a little fun at it, I highly recommend Ryan George's Pitch Meeting for this one. Hint: it answers the question of why Zara died so violently.

2024-07-09 19:15:47 +0000 UTCI LOVED this reaction, this was so fun! The other two Jurassic World movies aren't as good as this one, second one is the weakest imo, but they're still fun. And apparently there's another one in the making. Fun fact, the T-rex in this movie, Rexy, is the same T-rex from the original Jurassic Park. You can see the old scars on her neck the original velociraptors left on her during the fight in the visitor's center.

And to me she played that part perfectly. Totally out of control but trying to be in control and I think they had chemistry personally

2024-07-08 01:58:47 +0000 UTCWhen compared to Jurassic Park, this movie is definitely much more of a dumbed down “popcorn flick,” but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as people say. The other two Jurassic World movies on the other hand are atrocious and deserving of their reputation.

2024-07-07 21:09:18 +0000 UTCIt was well received due to the nostalgia off the backs of the OG films. Everyone flooded to the theaters hoping to see that magic and they got a fairly generic movie without any heart. However, in saying that, it's fine if people love it. To each their own!

2024-07-07 21:06:13 +0000 UTCExactly, but their chemistry echos what I feel about this movie. The whole thing falls flat. The characters feel empty with very little to root for. In the original, I actually CARED if a character was about to die. In this, I was kind of rooting for the dinosaurs to be honest. They did a horrible job setting up the characters and they hinge a lot of the character stuff on the chemistry between the leads, which is nonexisting. I think the entire reason it did so well is that people flooded to the theaters hoping to see the magic of the OG films. I know I went to the theater for it and then thought it was fairly generic.

2024-07-07 18:09:52 +0000 UTCThe "velociraptors" are more or less sized up to a Utah raptor. Velociraptors irl are indeed way smaller and are thought to be covered in feathers. I feel like the movie would be way different if the raptors were only the size of big chickens, they look more terrifying this way, as by a Utah raptor standard.

Chris Pratt is fine, Bryce Dallas Howard is a great actress (Black Mirror!) but that doesn't change the fact that they have no chemistry. That kiss was completely unnecessary and the build-up for it was terrible. And her character is just another insufferable girl boss, which I actually do hate. D'Onofrio, one of my favorite actors is completely wasted in this movie. The effects are fine, it's stupid but sometimes entertaining, but that's about it.

I really don't get the people that hate on it. It's a fun ride! Chris Pratt is gorgeous as always. Then again, there's a whole community of people that hate Chris Pratt and I don't get them at all either

The younger boys acting was surprisingly good like he was one of the stronger actors in this movie, I found the relationship between him and his brother really wholesome and realistic. Hopefully you guys do the other ones at some point I loved this

The film just didnt have any impact until the end dino fight which is probably why it got all the hype since its the last thing you see. kingpin didnt bring his A game either. I put this on par with star wars episode 9. rob and trin carried this film hard to the finish line.

It's just an entertaining popcorn flick and at the end of the day that's sometimes all you want. Concerning Zara, the "nanny," I believe there were deleted scenes where she's kind of a 13-itch to the boys, so her demise wasn't as unnecessarily vicious.
