Yeees 🔥 I was waiting for this reaction for a while and this did NOT disappoint!! I love how much this moved y’all, ha right from the very beginning; it never fails to bring me to tears as well. I never cared that it wasn’t fully accurate to history…it only made me want to know the true story more. Same as you mentioned, I approach this film like any other fictional tale, like LoTR. It’s an amazing movie even if it’s only vaguely based on true events. Think that’s the best way to appreciate this film, not as a historical story but a fictional one. But I’m not Scottish so maybe I’d be more annoyed at it if I were Scottish. The film score for this by the late James Horner is so iconic and impossible to listen to without getting emotional. Was so wonderful to return to this film with y’all! This reaction made my day. Btw, I am so enjoying some of the little facts people are writing in the comments that I didn’t know about! Thanks to all y’all giving more insight!
