The 100: S4E11 The Other Side - First time watching!

There are a lot of funny blooper scenes from the 100, you should definitely watch them. There is one from this episode, when Raven grabs the defibrilator (or what is it), but as she smashes it on the ground, bstteries fall out. She keeps acting and puts them back, when someone behind the scenes says something: I dont think you re gonna make it xd

Yep, I know. It was a good choice then, to keep him. I was just talking about his suicide spiral though. Which was meant to happen at the end of S3. I definitely see why they put it off. But... dragging it out for 2 seasons just made most viewers lose all sympathy for him.

Wendy Sparks

Agreed, I know it's a show and ppl want the maincast to survive, but not seeing that some of them simply shouldn't be in there, because they would contribute less for the survival of humanity is just ignorant and frustrating.

I think not many ppl will like this take, but I have to say, Octavia is very unreasonable, Skycrew are the only ones who can operate the bunker, I believe it takes 25-30 ppl to do that, plus you should have reserves in case of someone dying early on before they can teach the grounders how to do that stuff, which takes months of training. Also she always annoyed me with her "I belong to no crew"-attitude, it's her mothers fault to get a second baby on the Arc and the rules made sense in their situation, she was never rly misstreated by anyone from Skycrew. Still, she did win the Conclave and it's fair she gets to decide how the bunker will be used. IMO she should have taken in the whole Skycrew (mines volunteers, older ppl or sick ones would probably give up their place). The other clans could still survive, but then it would be 60-70 instead of 100 per other clan. Still a very good deal considering all other clans would have taken the bunker for themselves if they won. Also I want to add that the idea of sharing the bunker was Clarke's idea in the first place.

Florian

He was actually supposed to die after first episode of s01, but they liked him, so they kept him in :D

Yes... and Octavia was also a spy and assassin. Just because she represented the group we started with... doesn't make it any different than from someone with the opposite agenda. Echo went after Octavia on Roan's orders. Was she supposed to disobey? Echo was trying to bring her back alive as requested. Octavia put up a fight... as anyone would. But Echo kept trying to stop it... as she didn't want to kill Octavia. Echo was not the agressor in that fight at the cliff, but she wasn't going to walk away. Then Octavia practically runs into Echo's sword. Echo is clearly surprised as well. She pulls out her sword, stands there... and Octavia stumbles back and off the cliff. I hate that people say Echo kicked her off, when she didn't. As for Mt Weather... do you think Queen Nia would expect anything less than loyal ruthlessness or else? If not Echo, then someone else would've been sent to Mt Weather. That bomber was getting in with Emerson's secret knowledge... with or without Echo. Destroying Mt Weather was Nia & Emerson. Echo was doing what she was trained for. Just as our side follows the leaders, or follow Clarke, or Pike, right or wrong. Octavia didn't forgive Bellamy until the conclave... so that is consistent with Echo. No reason for Octavia to come around to Echo any sooner. Just pointing out Octavia's hypocrisy for having done similar actions of her own. Namely cheating by taking out the ambassador and any threat to Roan, earlier in the season. Kane even removed her for it. Viewer-wise... everyone quickly forgives Bellamy for his choices. As far as I'm concerned... his actions impacted Octavia way worse. But for him, or 'our' side... everyone looks at the underlying causes. Yet no one bothers to consider underlying causes for Echo. How she must've been trained by Azgeda under Nia. Clarke & Jaha taking the bunker was a much bigger cheat that was gonna kill everyone outside of the SkaiKru inside it. Including Octavia. So I don't see how Echo trying to kill fighters to help Roan is in any way worse than being locked out to die. Taking the bunker was both a ballsy move... and a bitch move. Depending on which side of the door you are on. Who cares if Echo wanted to snitch. Skaikru are not her people. Same principle that Jaha is operating under. Granted, snitching is as hypocritical as Octavia was being... but it was a play for her people, then she opted not to. With this show, nothing is ever just black or white. Everyone is gray scale with potential for change. It just depends on perspective. Echo has certainly been shown to be loyal, strong, calm, and clever. Just coming from a different side of things. She is absolutely someone that you'd want on your side, if you can find common ground. (As praimfaya approaches... many have acted rashly out of fear and panic. So I don't hold these last actions at the conclave against Echo.... just as I don't hold taking the bunker against Jaha and Clarke. Seems fair.)

Octavia

Yeah, but there are other things. 1. She was there to kill her. 2. She hunted her down and almost killed her (remember that stupid fall from the cliff?) 3. She wanted to snitch on them, that skycrew took the bunker. 4. She was a very loyal Azgeda spy, who betrayed Skycrew and the reason why her brother lost his gf, not to mention another bunker which could save another portion of human race from what is coming. You do not want such a person in the bunker.

Miroslav Blabla

Jasper was originally supposed to kill himself at the end of S3. When we saw him getting ready to do it with the gun, after Clarke takes out the City of Light. But after the major blowback over the way Lexa and Lincoln's deaths were handled - they decided it was too dark to heap on top of those S3 deaths. RIP Jasper Jordan. We'll remember your S1 goggle-wearing self.

Wendy Sparks

The Becca we saw, like Sinclair, was just a manifestation from Raven's mind. Because we've seen real Becca, and that's not the way she is. Raven made her more impersonal like Alie because that's all she knows. Each sort of representing the two sides of her subconscious.

Wendy Sparks

Please... Ilian was barely a character... existing only to blow up the ark. He was going one way or another. Certainly wasn't Octavia's boyfriend. I think if that was part of her reasoning... she would say it. Honestly, it was more merciful than whatever other end was coming. Octavia's just throwing stones from inside her glass house. Considering that she herself has done similar things, cheating to keep Roan in place.

Octavia

Both Murphy and Emori would not be chosen. Both have no real skill compared to the other 400 or so people. Jaha was an engineer which they said in the past episodes so he would 100% be on the list. Most of the 100 who are still alive wouldn't make it into the bunker.

Jsanders

Echo killed her boyfriend, her reasoning is clear.

Jaroslav Dočekal

Octavia is one of my absolute favorite characters. (See name.) But while I certainly understand her bias against Echo given their history... it's so hypocritical. Remember early this season... when Octavia skewered an ambassador thru the ear, just so Roan wouldn't be challenged? It was badass... but also cheating. Octavia has spied, she's assassinated... but somehow when Echo does similar, it's unforgivable. And when Octavia does it, it's cool. I just don't agree. I have always liked Echo. Just because she's on the other side doesn't mean that her motivations are all that different from 'ours'. She and Octavia are actually very similar. p.s. This is exactly how I felt at this point during my first watch. I have always liked Echo. Since her first moment in the cages. Grayscale characters are the most enjoyable. And most of 'our' side have done similar or worse. If what Bellamy has done is forgivable, and Octavia, and Murphy... then I see no reason to hold Echo to a different standard.

Octavia

I can’t believe how lazy Raven was this episode she really decided to die for 15 minutes just to take a break from doing useful things. But seriously though this episode was amazing it’s really sad that Jasper is gone I feel horrible for Monty he just keeps getting more and more pushed onto him

James

Jaha was an engineer before he became Chancellor so he probably does bring a lot to the table for the bunker’s stability.
