MARCH UPDATE

it's me, latey-mc-laterson. obviously i've been sparse with updates this last month, and i could bore you with the details, but lets be real, no one cares! 

so lets instead focus on announcements for the month of march.

for starters, the poll for february didn't happen, in case you couldn't tell. i got busy, as part of those "reasons updates were sparse", but i'll be making up for it by running a poll THIS COMING SUNDAY (8 March 2020), as well as a poll for THE SUNDAY FOLLOWING (15 March 2020). these will have to do with one picture a piece, completely unrelated to each other (unless patrons want it to be related, i guess.)

as an aside, i will likely be opening polls to the public. patron votes will count for double, and all other rewards still apply.

secondly, i will not be accepting new commissions for the time being. this is so i can focus on the current queue and finish them in a timely manner, without having to worry about padding out my schedule any further. in future, i will be using a "slot" system on a month-by-month basis. when commissions will be reopened is currently undecided.

finally, the one that's prolly more pertanent to some than others, but of interest none-the-less: the follow-up comic to Truth or Dare. while i've never officially announced it before, i guess here's the best place to do it! 

it's, uh, coming.

the big matter is WHEN is it coming.

truth or dare will be released in a total of five parts. i realize i might have been a tad too ambitious with this, but i've already drafted it out in its totality, so now it becomes a matter of finalizing the script and then thumbnailing it for final production.

the times for patreon release have been decided, and so that i can't wimp out and say some vague, ambiguous thing like "oh, gee, i dunnnoooooo~", they are as follows.

Monthly Button Shipments Will Be on Permanent Hiatus

unfortunately, at the time of me writing this, i don't currently have the funds for another shipment due to bills. as such, i'm going to put them on a permanent hiatus, as i honestly hadn't planned out how i would do them monthly as much as i should have.   

to make up for this, for the two months that you've been promised that haven't been delivered, i'll be giving a 15% discount on commissions for $5 patrons, and 20% for $10 patrons.   

which is to say, you have two of those you can use, since you were promised for both january and february, to be redeemed whenever you wish to use them, unless you've already been queued and payed, in which case i unfortunately can't apply it there.   

sorry to anyone looking forward to them. 

THE GREAT DECEMBER CHANGELOG

hello lovely people, i return!

so i'm sure no one really cares what i've been doing for the last month, but i'm gonna tell you anyways!  

for the month of november, i've been laying out the groundwork for a series of projects. these projects will start rolling out monthly, starting here in december with a comic (more on that a little bit later this week.) but for now, lets go into detail about what's gonna be happening going forward.

this is gonna be a long one.

so i've finally sat my lazy ass down and started hashing out this website nonsense. as you'll notice here, it's not exactly complete. i'll be rolling out updates slowly as the year progresses and the need arises. 

why does this matter to you? well, right now, it doesn't. but in the future, when new projects start hitting, it'll start to become clear why this was necessary.

i've decided that i'll be producing a new set of buttons every month, ranging from 3 to 5 designs. these will be in limited quantity, and avaliable for purchase at my shop page.

( * "free" meaning domestically; if you're internationally based, you'll be required to pay for shipping of $14.50. it sucks, and i'm trying to find a way around that, but for the time being that's just how it is. sorry about that. )

PROJECTS, COMICS, AND OTHER FUN THINGS

going forward, i'll be releasing new content on a (hopefully) weekly basis, all working towards some specific project that i'd like to be completed in a month. patrons with a $5 tier or higher will get early access to these project pieces two weeks before they launch publicly, and people who pledge $10 or higher will get access to anything extra i used towards its creation, such as concept art and reference images i created.

and this is how i'll be doing all projects going forward. hopefully this format works out to help to make sure there's a steady stream of content coming out on a regular enough basis to keep everyone entertained!

right now, my focus is on producing:

• comics
• small games
• animations

with these in mind, i'm designing my website to best be able to work with these types of projects, for the best possible viewing experience, as well as making it easy to download them for your own leisure.

i've been really bad about keeping up with the poll images every month, so i've now dedicated the first week of the month to getting proposals, and then a day in the second week to making and posting. 

you can vote on the poll if you're a patron over on this post. 

COMMISSIONS

i'll be announcing this elsewhere as well, but commissions will be limited to eight slots a month. since i've already got a queue waiting, I WILL NOT BE TAKING NEW COMMISSIONS FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER. 

regular commissions will return in january, with an updated price list which can be found here.  if you'd like to go ahead and reserve a spot, you can do so by filling out this form. if i accept it, i'll contact you and then let you know your spot is reserved! 

also, a new bonus has been added to the $10 tier: now, you'll receive a 15% commission discount just by pledging, on top of the other great rewards!
