The 100: S2E06 Fog of War - First time watching!

Comments

I’m rewatching the series but I need to comment this. I know you come around but rob you were defending Finn who massacred defenseless women and children and comparing it to Clarke killing solders in war time

James

“Then The Commander will use it to slit both of your throats.” Such a cold line when you realise a)she’s talking about herself and b) she really means it. You’re literally the first people who have ever got that from that line. Thats amazing. I love you guys lol

Zeudi for President 🤌🏼

Just wanted to say: I fully appreciate your honest, in-the-moment reactions. Wouldn't want it any other way. You feel the way you feel... until you feel differently. Or not. It's a joy to watch, whether I agree or not. Other perspectives expand the experience, I think. Rob - I did feel like you had an overly negative reaction to Clarke for most of this episode..... saying many times, 'stop looking at him like that', 'look at the look on her face', etc... Which is valid because it's how you felt in those moments. But I just wanted to similarly speak up for Clarke, in this instance, as the person who did nothing wrong in that situation. Who shouldn't have to put her feelings of horror aside for Finn's sake. But also...... that's no fault of yours. I know you're just being compassionate to a fault. Which is lovely. It's just, as a woman... I'm more sensitive because we're often told to put our feelings aside to be more nurturing. But again, that's not on you, nor your intention. You're just reacting unfiltered to Clarke, in the moment. Which is exactly how Clarke was also being with Finn. And I love that parallel. Next time Clarke annoys you, because characters live to annoy us, I'm just as likely to agree. Keep being in the moment. Don't mind me and my perspective. 💖

So excited for 2x07 today!

Loved their take on Finn! Everyone usually hates him, so it’s refreshing to get a more nuanced look. Finn is supposed to be 17, which still makes him a mass murderer but also a kid who thinks he is still fighting the war from S1 finale.

Yeah Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) Is Here, Though This Was Before Fear The Walking Dead Was Even A Thing 2014

So curious to see other first time viewer's thoughts going forward.

Octavia

Lexa is here 🙌🏼💚

I love your genuine, fully invested in the moment, reactions! Never change. So enjoyable. But, haha, I took some notes. To just give another perspective on some things. Let me just say, I'm team Murphy. BUT... How was Clarke's attitude towards Murphy any different from the way Bellamy treated him in the first couple of eps of this season? Clarke has only just returned from escaping Mt Weather. She didn't get to go out on a mission with Murphy and see another side to him. The last thing she associates with Murphy is him shooting and crippling Raven. So her attitude makes sense to me. (Though it's still wacky to me that they banished Murphy for no valid reason, but would never consider applying the same judgement to Finn.) On to Mt Weather. While I like that President Wallace is against using the 47 against their wills... he still finds it perfectly acceptable to drain hundreds of grounders to their deaths. He certainly seems better than his son. But I don't really find him commendable. (Very well played though.) It's just that he sees the Sky kids as the right kind of people... 'civilized' similar to themselves. And likely views the grounders as animals to be harvested. Which... whoo boy. I'm with Monty when he answered back with 'die.'

Octavia

I'm going to watch again. Because..... Lexa.

Wendy Sparks

I always felt like Clarke's whole attitude towards Finn was her way of punishing both her and Finn for the things they'd done while battling the Grounders. I think she's feeling very guilty and doesn't really know how to handle that. I also think that she thought she had a pretty solid picture in her head of the Finn she knew pre-war (empathetic and anti-violence) and that's not who he is right now. I think when it comes to him, she really lets her emotions cloud her judgement.

Emmy

Was waiting weeks for the Lexa reaction 🥰 yall never disappoint.

Shelley

Awww. You guys are being a bit harsh on Clarke. While being pretty lenient on Finn. The grounder she killed was a warrior holding her prisoner... as Finn was taken away to be killed. Not abstract, but reacting to actual capture and threat around her. Whereas Finn gunned down unarmed, mostly running away, women, children, and elderly... in their own village. Massively different circumstances in my point of view. I mean, Clarke is our head of the spear. It's kind of fun though... the different perspectives... because most reactors usually loathe Finn. I definitely agree that there's way more depth of dilemma, perspective, ideology, bias, and 'do the ends justify the means' in The 100... than it appears on its surface. It's like the grimier they get, the grayer the choices become.

Octavia

Lexa 😍 I feel for Finn, I feel for Clarke, I feel for the Grounders, I feel for them all 🥺 Like you said, everyone is trying to cope. I like the complexity in that.

Chrissy

Great reaction! I don't feel like anyone should have to make Finn feel 'okay', though. What he did wasn't okay, to me. Nor an accident. One might be an accident, 18 is mass murder. In addition to executing the grounder in the bunker. And Clarke should be able to feel however she feels about it. I don't think it's fair to expect her to make him feel better when she was horrified by it, traumatized as well. It can't be both ways..... the delinquents can't be the ones leading the way over the adults, but also still children to be excused. Absolutely love all the layers of thought this show provokes.

Wendy Sparks

Nope you missed the point
