YES to the Horizon parallel. Can't wait for that series to come out, btw.

Kathrin Lembcke

Yeah I worry our BSG experience has wrecked our impression of her :(

And lol... Murphy's law... it's taking longer than usual. Refresh, refresh, refresh.

Octavia

Counting down the minutes until the next episode!

I think telling jasper he can go after Clarke was just a front. He knew Jasper wouldn't go after Clarke he was highlighting how wonderful mount weather is how he has everything there and Clarke doesn't want to be there etc but wanted to make sure Jasper stopped poking his nose in at the medical area looking for Clarke also to add to the illusion that they are kind reasonable people with nothing to hide - if you want to go you can - prompting jasper to stay but making it seem that he was given a choice and it was his choice not to follow Clarke. (Almost a reverse psychology type thing).

@AmethystRock

I love your new picture Trin โค๏ธ

Yes, Abby might have had more faith than the others, BUT, Abby knew just as well as the other council members that there was a BIG chance that they were going to die. She also knew that it was either they die from being floated to reduce their numbers that way, or they take the chance and roll the dice with them on the ground. But they DID technically sent them down to die as lab rats to see it there might be a small chance for the ground to be survivable. Even Abby's face after Raven said that shows that Abby knows that she is right, I feel like

MSephiroth

Bellamy and Clarke hugging at the start of the episode is one of my favorite scenes! Youยดll never think to see them ever like that after the first episodes of season 1 LOL

Bassorelli Chiara

I disagree with Raven's reframing that Abby sent the 100 down to die. That is completely not true. Others on the council probably saw it that way, but not Abby. She advocated for sending them to the ground so that they, so that Clarke, had a chance to live. (Most of them were more than likely to get floated. Especially with oxygen in short supply.) It makes a good soundbite, that the 100 like to spit out, but it's really not true.

Octavia

I agree but I think they intentionally made her character obnoxious.

Alyssa Dyson

Thats kinda not true though...they speared Jasper before those flares were fired. Thank god Clarke was smart enough to save him but for anyone else that's a kill shot.

Alyssa Dyson

I half agree with this...being brought up in space he's not familiar with the prisoners of war concept and he's got some major PTSD...Still cant feel good about what he did though so its kinda hard for me personally to make excuses for him...those grounders def shouldn't have been trying to escape though.

Alyssa Dyson

The show keeps ramping up until the end of season 4 then there's 5-6 episodes that are slower and it starts to ramp again until the middle of last season. Enjoy :)

Milen Mladenov

Major Byrne getting attacked by R&T right out of the gate! Major Byrne is just doing her job!! How the heck is she supposed to know that is Clarke and not a grounder?! They should be so lucky to have someone who takes security so seriously. Lol I am sure the comments are going to be at me... oh well!

Kale

"How long until chocolate cake turns into being hung upside down and drained for their blood?" A very astute line from Bellamy.

Wendy Sparks

Agreed. The parallels here are clear. The President's son wants to use the 47 sky kids because 'our people come first, right?!' This is common tribalism that has existed since life existed. This is the Grounders justification... and this is Finn's justification. Well, more Clarke-motivated than his people... but still a parallel. The only thing better in the Finn situation is that he's out of his mind... whereas the Mt Weather Doctor and the President's son are calculating. Until people can see beyond 'us vs them', the cycles continue. I think that's what Kane is striving for here.

Octavia

As I always say, I just don't see the Grounders as the bad guys who started it all... so they're getting what they deserve. Uh uh. Nope. In my view, they didn't start it. They only truly attacked the 100 (102 really) after the flare burnt down a village. Which was unintentional, but it wouldn't appear that way to the Grounders. And after the debacle at the bridge talks. (Spearing Jasper seems obviously a warning about venturing to the Mt. Weather side..... because they could've killed all of that exploratory group before or after, and they didn't.). We can see that a lot of Grounder warriors are relatively youngish. So to them... the 16-18 year olds from the sky would not seem like children, but prime age and dangerous. Now Finn has crossed the line so far, it can't be seen anymore. Except for the healer, Nyko.... those in that village were mostly women and elderly. They were afraid of a strange, raving gunman. There's a big difference between killing in an active battle... and killing civilians.

Wendy Sparks

Yes, Trin is right about the first person Finn almost shot was a woman; he had his foot on her back... He's losing it! Hold on tight cuz this show just gets better and better! ๐Ÿ’š

Michele H.

When Murphy is the voice of reason... you know you've really lost it. Love Murphy's gradual character development so far... and his snark.

Octavia

Iโ€™m going to be praying every episode that Major Byrne (the security guard) dies. If we say it enough hopefully itโ€™ll happen

James

I always thought the offer given to Jasper to follow Clarke was less about finding her and being her back and more about giving them a โ€œchoiceโ€ because the president knows theyโ€™ll want to stay in safety. The same way they were giving Clarke a (false) sense of freedom and the option to leave but anytime she tried to leave they had reasons to not let her go. Finnโ€™s character degradation is very upsetting. I think itโ€™s heinous that he just massacred a village of people because he was too obsessed with finding Clarke to look around.

Taylor Hensley

Unpopular opinion: I do not blame Finn for shooting them. First of all, they attacked them first - their "village" (dropship). They attacked 100 kids (they all were < 18 yo, Bellamy excluded), not warriors, but a forcibly armed group of kids. The war never ended. Second of all, if you have a hostage situation and have them sitting in a cage, you are safe. Once one escapes, then you are in trouble, because he just became a threat. Not to mention, if you are a hostage and see that he escaped and was not shot, why would you keep sitting there? If you see that guy is shooting running hostages and not doing anything to those who are sitting there, why would you run? They of course panicked, but that kid running to Finn had it coming.

Miroslav Blabla

Never liked Finn to begin with, but this episode really put the nail in the coffin for me when it came to his character. No matter how many times I rewatch the show, I cannot get myself to like him. On the other hand, season 2 made me like Murphy a lot, his character development is one of my favourites on the show and the latest two episodes I feel like really highlighted that.

lol

I'm just so excited for each and every episode!
