They're (almost) all so good, though, and most are meant for families,not just kids, so there's plenty of things in there for all ages. Most of my favorite movies (besides LotR, Harry Potter, etc.) are animated! I hope yall will do Finding Dory soon!

2023-09-03 14:44:13 +0000 UTCEllen Degeneres' performance as Dory is probably one of the best animated voice performances - right up there with Robin Williams' Genie and Eddy Murphy's Donkey - equal parts hilarious and heart-breaking. BTW, Nigel the pelican was voiced by Geoffrey Rush.

I LOVED your reaction to UP and was so excited for more reactions to the animation genre of films, and Finding Nemo & UP are both such Pixar classics! And I'm actually really excited for one day, some more adult type animated films to make it to the top polls bc animation isn't just a kid genre and there's a ton of animated films & shows that have more mature themes and are for an adult audience. Disney & Pixar are mostly aimed at kids, though traditional Pixar had a reputation for also connecting with adult audiences, especially digging into the emotional truths & our psychology, but animation is a much broader genre than those two companies & can address many different subjects & come in many beautiful styles beyond the typical Disney & Pixar styles. But anyway, off to watch this reaction! Finding Nemo is such a well told story that it's made it into some film classes as an example of how to tell stories well, how to structure stories well.

Lost season 1 shannon tries to translate the French on Danielle's papers... she said that the little boy of her boyfriend was obsessed with the fish movie and it was dubbed in French and she ends up singing the song that plays at the end... it was the song that you missed at the end credits. Lol just so you know.

I was always more of Disney kid than Pixar, but I have a lot of fond memories of Finding Nemo (watched it all the time in school). This was a fun and very cute rewatch. I’ve always loved the message of allowing your kids the space and independence they need to take care of themselves, even though they’ll always still need their parents. There were definitely a lot of famous voices here, but Willem Dafoe never disappoints.
