2023-08-02 11:52:19 +0000 UTC3:10 to Yuma is such a good movie. Never did get the recognition it deserved.

2023-08-01 23:56:47 +0000 UTCWhy are people still giving air to Polanski or his movies? The Pianist was made by not only a convicted child rapist but one who claims he did nothing wrong (while admitting to raping a 13 yo), and who has been accused by many more, the youngest 10 yo at the time. The Guardian ran an article in 2018 that's worth a read. Let's not help promote this guy's movies...

2023-08-01 19:12:18 +0000 UTCSurely it's only fair and reasonable that having made R&T sit through heavy stuff like Schindler's List, or quite upsetting stuff like Seven we can reward them by letting them watch Stardust? ;)

2023-08-01 16:19:23 +0000 UTCPan’s Labyrinth really deserves a ton more votes! Guillermo del Toro directed it and his work is very creative. And Pan’s Labyrinth I think is one of his best and I wish more people would see it. It’s sorta a hidden gem even though you’d think it would be more known. Del Toro was set to be the original director for the Hobbit movies and a lot of complicated stuff happened in the development stage, so Peter Jackson had to take over the production almost reluctantly. But I think? there are still some designs and ideas from del Toro’s version in the Hobbit films. For the most part, PJ started from scratch with his own vision but I think they did keep in some del Toro stuff. His most recent film is an instant classic: his version of Pinocchio, which is the more dark and serious version and such a beautiful film as well. While I’m not a fan of all his stuff, I think he is one of the greats and deserves to get more recognition for his work. If any of you haven’t seen Pan’s Labyrinth, go watch it!

2023-08-01 15:35:28 +0000 UTCSometimes what is ahead on these polls is so surprising. As long as Kill Bill wins in the long run ;)

2023-08-01 15:02:37 +0000 UTCIt's a vote, so a majority of people disagree with you. But don't forget they also always do their own picks for the month so there's a chance a movie we like more and didn't make it will still be watched. It's not Rob and Trin's fault, unfortunately most people want to constantly be exposed to the same movies.

2023-08-01 13:58:07 +0000 UTCI've given up on these polls. Just look at the garbage that have won and all the great films that never stood a chance. When The Walking Dead ends I'm out.

2023-08-01 13:12:54 +0000 UTCLovely Bones is such a great book, and movie. Doubtful it'll be in the top 4, but def worth a watch.

2023-08-01 12:16:22 +0000 UTCBy the way are you going to have personal picks this month too? I don't think I saw the list for July.

2023-08-01 12:09:45 +0000 UTCPan's Labyrinth is so weird and amazing! It's nice to see some foreign movies every once in a while. Sherlock Holmes is very entertaining, I think you'll like the style since you love the BBC TV show.

2023-08-01 11:19:11 +0000 UTCMan it sucks when I don’t care enough to vote for any from this poll but I cared about like 8 from another poll. Oh well! It’s the way the cards fell. I hope you guys do more from this era because 2000s movies are such a vibe!
