FIRST TIME WATCHING Seven (1995) REACTION

Comments

I’m new to Patreon and just catching up on all the reactions. I agree with you totally. I love Kevin Spacey (of course as an actor bc I don’t know him) but they all have troubled lives. Brad Pitt is apparently abusive, Morgan freeman apparently groomed his granddaughter, and Gwenyth is ….well she’s just weird. I love all of them as ACTORS and I can separate the art from real life. Kevin in amazing! American Beauty is when I fell in love with his acting. He’s so good !

I'm going to give it a try now, I've been waiting too.. I watched it back when in a theater.... Never watched it again, but I'm curious about the reactions... We'll see.

You can talk about Kevin Spacey all you want. It's about him as an actor, not as a person. And he's a great actor. What he did or not did has nothing to do with this movie. One of my top 5 movies of all time is American Beauty. And Spacey's performance is part of the reason why. And there's nothing wrong with appreciating that. If I couldn't separate the art from the artist I basically wouldn't be able to watch anything anymore. 👍

I saw this movie once and have no desire to see it again, but I wanted to comment that I have been considering because I love your guy's reactions. Just not there yet....

Dorinda Schaper

Bit of a weird and uncalled for reaction towards Spacey tbh. Generational actor.

PhoenixReturns

I just love this movie!

Anna Möllervärn

I was told about the yelling Fire instead of help when i was younger

I avoided this movie like the plague even on standard cable. People I knew who saw it said it was gruesome, and back then gore and violence were not something I wanted to see in movies. Occasionally I would see a horror movie with friends, but my hands cover my eyes for the most of the film. Nowadays gore or violence doesn't bother me as it did back in my younger days. This was the one exception. I watched it all the way through and felt grossed out. I agree with Rob, the killer really didn't have a good motive for killing his victims, especially the fat person. He was a shut in, so why or how John Doe targeted and had access to him doesn't make sense. I did read on Wikipedia that the writers had a hard time selling this script, and were forced to make the film with half the original budget. I can say I saw this film, but I won't boast about it...LOL!

I've never watch this movie before, maybe because the ending had been spoiled for me. This movie really turned my stomach. I didn't expect that. I don't usually have that problem, but this was very unsettling. Not a bad movie but I won't be watching it again.

Bradley Weeks

I'll keep requesting Lucky Number Slevin! And I definitely already did more than seven times... ;)

Anatol

Trin has got to see The Shawshank Redemption!

I would always walk in on this movie when it was on TV with the super skinny body guy that was actually alive scene and would walk out cause its too much. This is my first time ever watching the full thing with y'all. The minute he said he has two more bodies to locate I knew it was the his partner cause whats the worse thing that could happen for a married cop in that job field. I loved the reaction and getting to watch it for the first time with y'all

I love this film despite the utter horror it is a fine murder mystery but with such a graphic nature but needed to be shown I feel to fully understand the utter despair and degradation of this place which is never divulged to us it never stops raining the feel of this place is so melancholy all of the cast are fantastic all in all a bloody good film and a great reaction as always.

Linda wightman

Please, react to Hell on Wheels

Dude

This is dark oh my god

James

Quite possibly my favorite David Fincher film, but I definitely saw it way too young. The sloth scene traumatized me as a teenager.

Joshua Markham

Great reaction to one of the most disturbing films I’ve ever seen. Will never watch it again on my own. Just too depressing and nightmarish. But, admittedly, a well-written, well-acted movie. Stays with you forever.

MaggieS61

I've seen this movie just once before, when it came out, and never wanted to watch it again (for good reason as you now know), but it was very interesting on this second watch, seeing all the clues, knowing how it ends. That said, I remember realizing on my 1st watch - once I figured out Wrath hadn't been played out yet, what was going to happen in that desert.

angie808

Love this movie. Remember when i saw it in the theater.. I was so shocked 😳 of the ending. Great reaction. Love crime/ thrillers

Dawn

I LOVE this movie; the twists and turns! I can't stand Kevin Spacey (as a perv, I mean, person either) but he's in another movie that's a lot like this but I actually love it more! It's called The Life of David Gale also starring Kate Winslet. Please add to ur list if you can! 💚

Michele H.

Every time I watch this movie, it makes me want to play Heavy Rain.

The way that Envy and Wrath scene is shot is brilliant. At first, John Doe is shown so that the power lines tower above him. Once Somerset opens the box, the camera angle changes so that the power lines are dwarfed by him and the sun is directly behind his head, signifying that despite him being in handcuffs, John Doe has the power.

Michael Celia

This reaction just makes me want you to react to True Detective Season 1 even more.
