Comments

Anyone having issues with the link for the the uncensored version?

Tony refers to Wanda as a "little witch" in Avengers Age of Ultron but they never use her comic book name until here.

Also, do we ever get to see Trin? My OCD needs to put a face to the voice. Love you guys

Michael Lewis

New here. Love your reactions. I think I've watched 20 of them in the last 20 hours 😅. Can't wait for episode 9 of WandaVision.

Michael Lewis

If you go back to the first episode and rewatch the dinner party scene when Mr Hart is choking it is much darker realizing that Mrs. Hart is begging Wanda over and over to "Stop it" Because Wanda was the one that caused him to choke, because he started asking hard questions. Then Vision was unable to act until Wanda told him to.

So, I know you've kinda already heard which lead you to being spoiled about future X-Men movies. I will explain things more thoroughly, because it's good to know, but I will not spoil anything. It's a bit convoluted, so bare with me. It starts off with Marvel back in the day wanting to make some movies. This was before Marvel Studios existed. Marvel Studios was created specifically for the MCU, so keep that in mind. So back in the early 2000's Marvel wanted some movies done but weren't in a financial position to create their own Production studio. So, they ended up selling the on-screen characters to 3 different Studios. Universal got the rights to Incredible Hulk, Sony got the rights to Spider-Man, Venom and The Punisher. However, The Punisher was not willing sold. Sony and Marvel actually went to court over that one, and Sony won. And Fox got the rights to X-Men, Deadpool and Fantastic 4. This was exclusively for the rights to the on-screen characters so Marvel was still able to use them freely in their comics. After these deals, Marvel ended up with quite a bit of money and that's when they started getting the idea to create their own Production studio, and that's where the MCU is born. But now they realized they had a problem because there was a bunch of characters they couldn't use. So they had to try making deals with these other studios. They got Universal on board with The Incredible Hulk right away, but there was conditions attached and that's why we don't see Hulk very much. Fox and Sony were both straight up saying "No" for the longest time. As the MCU started getting towards the end of the first phase, Marvel decided to sell off a few more properties to Netflix. Those properties are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and eventually The Punisher, after Marvel got the rights back from Sony, only to turn around and sell them again to Netflix. So, at this point was about when Marvel and Fox came to terms on Wanda and Pietro. Basically the terms were that Marvel Studios could use them, but they couldn't refer to them as Mutants, they couldn't say she was a Witch, they couldn't use the name Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver. Around that time, Sony and Marvel also came to a deal. Then Sony changed their mind and pulled out. And they decided to do the The Amazing Spider-Man movies with Andrew Garfield instead. Then we fast forward to Disney buying Marvel. And Disney are able to finally cut a deal with Sony, so we finally get Spider-Man in the MCU. Then fast forward a bit more and Disney buys 20th Century Fox. Fast forward a bit more and Disney buys up all the Netflix properties. So that's everyone all under one umbrella now. Universal and Sony will likely get bought out by Disney at some point and then we won't have to worry about them pulling creative control or straight up pulling out of future movies.

to clear at some things, about her accent coming and goes, its not a continuity error..she has originally a sokovian accent right..then after civil war, they were hunted by the govt..thats why she learn to adjust her accent while in hiding.. episode8 was a masterpiece..favorite episode among all the mcu disney+ shows..lizzie olsen's acting was phenomenal..since episode 1..

I think you guys are forgetting that none of it is fake or in Wanda's head. She's literally created all of this and made it into real tangible things. Her kids are real and hers

Kayla

In the comics, Wanda is a Mutant, capable of manipulating magic with her inborn gifts. Both versions stay true to her origins: A sorceress that naturally has those gifts without all the needless learning all those scrubs like Dr. Strange has to do. :P

Travis Hackett

Wanda and her brother told Ultron about their parent dying too stark weapons in age of Ultron so it was cool seeing it appear in this episode

SlipS_Tiger

I loved this so much omg! Can't wait for the next episode!

Michelle Schaefer

Just to clear up the confusion, the kids are Wanda's she 'made' them.

Foof

The "What is grief, if not love.. persevering" line knocked people for 6 when this came out. Incredible writing.

Just for context: There was a lot of grey area/confusion about whether Disney was even legally allowed to use the name "Scarlet Witch" until the Disney-Fox merger went through in March of 2019, as the movie rights to her character were part of the large package of characters (most notably the X-Men characters) that Fox had acquired back in 1994 for the crazy low price of $2.6M. So the reason they hadn't called her Scarlet Witch before then was really to avoid a lot of legal fees trying to clear all that up. Once the merger went through though, they were in the clear and this really worked out nicely with the "reveal" in this episode.

Onno Smits

Finally, we can call her by her 'super' name, The Scarlet Witch. Their comics were always called The Vision & The Scarlet Witch. Until this series, I had wondered why the MCU hadn't yet used her moniker. Worth the build up. If you look back at all her movie suit-ups... she's always wearing dark red.

Octavia

makes me tear up every time.

Just an amazing stroll thru Wanda's life. And everything comes together ---- Giving even more depth to an already layered character. Such a love letter to television ---- and the comfort and impact it brings to us.

Octavia

I always forget how incredible this episode is...and it's Elizabeth Olsen who nails it. Plus, that "What is grief if not love persevering" scene is probably the best-written scene in the entire MCU.

Michael Celia

I tear up at her story every single time. EVERY TIME it breaks me.

Calculatus Eliminatus

Agatha’s theme song absolutely exploded on the iStore after episode 7. It was legitimated bizarre. And for as many times as I’ve watched this show, episode 8 never ceases to hit me like a ton of bricks.

Mahlernut

Is ep9 coming tonight?!!

Simon Williams

I think you forgot that we saw Wanda literally give birth to the twins, even if it definitely wasn't a normal pregnancy they are her kids 🙂

roncelune

They are her kids..

Calculatus Eliminatus
