Great reaction, great episode! I believe the reason Vane was named and not Flint is because Hornigold believes, or at least is pretending to believe, that Flint died in the storm. It has also been a few weeks+ and Flint hasn't returned or been heard of so I think Hornigold really believes their ship went down. Oh and of course Eleanor and her history with Vane.
