The hypocrisy is real. Marcus Kane talks about floating a few hundred people to extend the amount of time left on the Ark and he's a realist making tough decisions for the long term benefit. Bellamy Blake talks about letting Jasper die for the sake of morale in the drop ship and these two reactors make it seem like he's an idiot who isn't worth listening to. Anyway, Murphy was always my favourite, despite his character being ruined in the last few series. Then again, the whole show was ruined in the final series.

Also, I hate when shows try to make some characters out to be the pure good people and others out to be horrible, but then later it is revealed that the "good" person is not so good. Abby is a perfect example because in the first episode she talked down to Kane for being power hungry and blamed him for floating her husband but one she is the one who turned her husband in knowing he would die and 2 was Kane even present when her husband was floated?

2023-08-02 22:10:05 +0000 UTCI always took that look to show the absence of Jana’s wife. I just assumed she died somehow and that it was more about how he missed his wife/that romantic love. Not it being about Abby specifically. That’s just where my mind went and what I think the writers wanted you to assume. (Btw I don’t remember that storyline so this was just my thoughts at the time of watching and even now rewatching I only see it that way).

And Wells was his first name, Wells Jaha. I feel like Clarke's advice to Charlotte, about leaving the bad stuff up there and starting fresh here, was healthier. Bellamy's advice was terrible ---- giving a child a blade and telling her not to be weak here. Nope. That just opened the door to taking out Wells as a surrogate for his father. With Charlotte disturbingly mimicking Clarke's mercy killing of Atom. (Clarke's got brains and balls though!)
