Ah this is a surprise! Haven't watched this show in such a long time, it'll be interesting re-watching. There's a line in this first episode that didn't seem meaningful to me when I first watched but now I see it's basically a summary of the whole series. Re-watches are fun that way and haven't re-watched this show yet until now with you guys. The show definitely matures as it goes on season by season. It does start out a bit cheesy; I forgot how clean it seemed in the beginning. It gets darker in tone and characters as they grow up, but I wonder what I'll think upon rewatch. I will be so here for re-watching the entire series if you guys choose to keep it going!

I was a bit dubious about watching this too due to the 'teen aspect' but I became addicted and it became my guilty pleasure until I realised everyone else was watching it too..... now I live by telling everyone to float themselves and hope one day I can have a baby girl just so I can call her Clarke 😅😂🤣

Ok so I've started watching this again I quit very early watching it on my own I enjoyed this first episode so I'm going to continue another kids wouldn't leave me alone and have interrupting me when I'm watching the Walking Dead it's like no kids allowed out

Yes! I know they've had mixed reactions when they first mentioned doing it months ago but I'm glad it's getting the support it deserves, I do think the best way to get through the first season would be double episodes though just because you get better connected with the actors and their stories rather than wait week to week

It really does get better in every way. If you stick with it, it becomes grittier, better acting.... especially from end of S1 beyond. It starts out 'teen show' and evolves into so much more. I'd say that the show will start to surprise you around ep. 4-5.

You're right about the characters being too clean and beautiful.. But for me also that's not how you act when you've been hearing about nature and the earth your entire life then you suddenly get to physically experience it for the first time.. You would definitely not worry about any "social issues" in your group.. You'd be overwhelmed and so busy trying things out for the first time.. I decided to watch this show with you guys.. I haven't seen it before.. I have to say that I'm disappointed after this episode cuz the events and the acting are very unrealistic

Fingers-crossed for 2 episodes per week soon. It will flow better that way, I think. It's an addictive show. For anyone who is also new to The 100... and didn't like the CW teen vibe... stick with it thru S1. It evolves way beyond what it seems early on. Really. (Remember that Buffy was also a teen show that became more.)

Guys, really excited for you. I remember when I first started watching the show. I expected it to be a simple teenie-bopper sci-fi series that would last for a few seasons. I don’t really like those kinds of shows, but I was desperate for some sci-fi. I was completely surprised. I think after 3-4 episodes, I realized there was a lot more to the story. Not really a teen show at all. Look forward to some great episodes. Not all, but many… Lots of action and ALOT of moral dilemmas. Many times you question which side you’re on… a lot of good episodes. Enjoy

Really excited for you guys to watch this. Like other people have said, the first couple of episodes are a little cheesy and teen drama centric but honestly it picks up big time. It’s such a unique and different show and really makes you think about humanity and question choices and what you’d do in certain situations. Can’t wait to see more!

Gotta say, the only two shows i have ever rewatched multiple times through other people doing reactions are the walking dead and the 100, so i am glad to rewatch this with you guys too. Don't get too turned off by how "teen-like" it is this first seasons... it is always a bit corny, but it gets so good and you do really connect with the characters.

Watched the first handful of episodes when they first aired, but dropped it after starting a nightside shift and had to be more selective of TV shows. Definitely willing to watch with you two. BTW, I"m sure you've gotten this before, but as fans of Battlestar Galactica, I'd recommend The Expanse.

Yes I agree with your statement. This series would be really well done if just a few things were changed in the last 2 seasons and for me it literally ruined the show. Like game of thrones final season deserves an award compared to this final season. I definitely enjoyed the other seasons but I lost a lot of respect for the show once it really went downhill. It is nice to say the acting gets so much better after the first few episodes of the 1st season because alot of the dialog is just there for exposition purposes which was really annoying. Like that first conversation between wells and Clark about him having her father executed, and the "that's Octavia Blake the girl who lived in the floor! " And the "nobody has a sister" comment and so many more. It's just all bad writing to get the show off the ground and it made the actors so bad because of the terrible writing. I'm glad they got they're groove after all this but then they just shot down all progress with the final season.

I've never seen this but I struggled with the CW vibe I got from this. Sort of lower budget, less realistic tone. But the story is intriguing and I'm always willing to give things a shot. I did absolutely love the first five seasons of Supernatural and that was CW, after all. We'll see where this goes!

I loved this show, some people say its bad because the last two seasons were a little bit of a disaster, but everything else is solid. It does have a little cringe/teen acting in the beginning but they grow WITH the story. Story is good, and you form good connections with the character like any show. I hope y'all continue and fully react to the show, and enjoy it like a lot of us do!

It was an OK pilot. I will give it a go as well for1 season. Teen angst shows don't usually appeal to me. These prisoners look like models from Ambercrombie and Fitch catalogs...lol. I disagree with the premise that it is hard to make pilots that grab you. Need proof, watch any other show you have reacted to. The show was lacking suspense or believable high stakes. As I said, I am with you, I will givit a try.

i love watching you guys and your reactions and i was thinking how fantasic it would be if you guys reacted to the 100 so I'm so extremely excited to finally see you guys on this journey that it holds along with the character's journeys as well especially Bellamy and Clarke's Journeys too because those two are my absolute favourite, both individually and together so I can't wait to see what you think of them! Also Rob you said that Clarke's face looks very familiar to you and that might be because she's played by Eliza Taylor, who is an Australian actress whos been in the Australian soap operas Neighbours and Home and Away. The same goes for the actor who plays Bellamy as his name is Bob Morley. When the show was being filmed back in 2014, This was Eliza and Bob's first big American project especially as the only two Australians on the main cast so as soon as they found that out, they both promised to take care of one another.

Season 1 is by far the worst of them all, just sayin! The show explores a lot of themes and goes get a lot deeper gradually. The show improves a lot in general from S2 and onwards, so I really hope you give it two seasons before you decide. It's ofc not on LOST level, but it does do some really great world-building and I love the sci-fi/space element of it as well. Great character building too. S7 and S4 are my personal favorites.
