There were a few characters of the show we were informed before leaving. Ricks departure, huge time jump. Judith... sweet Judith. You guys are going to fall in love with sweet Judith.

The news of his passing became public before this episode aired, and to see him in an ethereal plane really felt like he was talking to us as the audience. Can't wait for y'all to see what's happened since the time jump :)

The 1 thing EVERYONE missed at airtime: the vehicle Jadis is driving when she is talking over the radio before she spots Rick is the RV Heath & Tara were in while out on the run after we 1st attacked the Savior compound as they slept. Tara is helped through the bridge by Cindy only to find the RV gone, Heaths broken glasses and a card of some sort that looked to have either 999 or PPP written on it. The trash people were (confirmed by producers) to have abducted a disoriented Heath and stolen the RV while Tara was being introduced to Oceanside.

2023-05-30 03:37:51 +0000 UTCSeeing Rick bleeding out while struggling to walk across the bridge made me cry like this man was a member of my own family. When it looked like Rick blew himself up, I was crushed. Then to see that he survived, gave me such joy. One thing that truly touched my heart is the fact that when everyone else was running towards the bridge, Daryl stayed on the riverbank keeping the Walkers off of Rick. Seeing Daryl crying thinking he lost Rick then walking off alone broke my heart. This episode is very hard to watch, but it's one of my favorite episodes in the entire series.

I don't want to be accused of giving a spoiler but if you don't get this information you will keep wondering when Rick will show up again since he was saved. The only way the writing will make sense and not make you angry is if you know this.

I recall Rob saying you hope it's not another season set during the same day, so I hope 7 1/2 years covered in 5 episodes suffices 😄 That Judith reveal at the end always gets me; our girl's all grown and fighting and helping strangers already like a true Grimes 😥 And seeing Shane, Hershel and Sasha again was a real emotional trip down memory lane, Hershel especially with Scott Wilson sadly having passed away just weeks before the episode aired. Also, I'm glad Diane gets an honourable mention, she's always felt to me like a bit of an unsung hero in the background - practically the Tobin of the Kingdom come to think 😆

Then we get to see Judith more grown up with ricks cannon on her hip, a mini katana on her back and carls hat to finish it off. Also the song “Space junk” was played on the first episode when the camera was zooming out on Rick in the tank

But it still was heart wrenching, I was sobbing just like you Trin! Even though it wasn´t, if this was Rick´s death, I would have been more satisfied, he was sacrificing himself for his family and the "I found em" still gives me the chills, but I am glad it was not his death cause I love him way too much.
