First Time Watching Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Reaction!

Comments

Re watching this and civil war reaction it's definitely my favourite from you guys. The excitements, sadness the laughs the suspense. Actually a brilliant reaction 👏🏼

Shelley

This was by far the BEST reaction/review of this movie I have ever seen. The edited YouTube version was awesome so I had to rush her and join to watch the full version. Loved seeing this through someone else’s eyes. It was like seeing for the first time again. You guys are amazing!!!! New fan 😊

Cali_Lakergrl

People always say 'why can't Thanos just create more food'. Well Thanos says the universe's resources are finite. So Im assuming anything you create takes something else away. That's how energy works, it's not created or destroyed it just changes shape. You can't create something out of nothing. So Thanos is technically correct that a cull often helps a species survive (Think Deer). What Thanos has is the WILL to act on this on a Universal scale. Its certainly evil but if God exists he is unimaginably cruel

George Baxter

Ant-Man and the Wasp comes before this so they won't know anything about what Thanos did here. Won't go into why again. lol

Sean Murphy

I'm sure it's been said but the Red Skull is Aaron from Walking Dead lol

Ae Jae Meade

Great reaction. One thing that sets Thanos apart as a great villain, is that there is some logic and merit to his conviction. Most villains only want power or have some other bland objectives. Overpopulation is not just about food, but also other natural resources, energy, pollution and so on. The scary bit is that the human population has doubled in the last 50 or so years, so if the snap happened in the real world, it would "only" set us back to around 1970 and thus it would only have been a "solution" for a very limited time relative to human history.

Rune

I'm about watch the 3rd time. Lol

Amanda Hymans

Saw this in a theater in Japan. lol Do not recommend seeing something this traumatic in Japan as I was the only one crying. LOL Everyone is so quiet at the theater.

Julia Ashley

They are very quick to put 2 and 2 together in their various shows and movies which I like. Sometimes I find myself urging them to pick up subtle hints and then applaud them 👏🏼 when they do

Steven Schmaling

I wanna do that too!!! <3

Spooky Dooky

I remember going to see it on opening day and at different points during the film hearing multiple people crying especially at the end. I think this film might have broken Trin a little.

Andrew

Plus we saw him get hit with blades and break Tony's sword with his bare hand, so they already established blades wouldn't cut him.

Richard Maurer

If you know they're going to find that out on their own then why tell them?

Matthew

So good, I watched twice!

Anthony Ancona

It took multiple gargantuan punches for Tony to barely scratch Thanos at the end. And you're talking about chopping his hand off?

Darth-Myself

A mild spoiler alert on the last part would be advisable, since they don't know who Cap Mar is.

Darth-Myself

I've been waiting for this reaction!! Did not disappoint haha. Next to Endgame this is actually my fave Avengers movie. Cinematic masterpiece if you think about how intense it was to integrate all of these individual story lines into a single vision. BTW - Captain Marvel is who Nick Fury pages at the end 💪🏼💪🏼 looking forward to you meeting her 🙏🏼

Kia Street

The attempt would have brought him to (seeing as star lord's punches brought him to), so it would have ended up the same

James Pritchard

Just think about it... Take a moment and try analize whole Titan siquense. If there was ability to chop Thanos hands, he should've been many times dead at that particular moment, because Nebula hit him with spase ship! and Tony hit him with column of rock! Because of gauntlet they couldn't give hime a scratch and you are talking about chop his hand? Just Star Lords hit took him out of trans. what would happen if they actualy try that . Man, not every stupid, out of context video from youtube shorts should be taken seriously.

Count Monte-Cristo

fun fact: Thor studied Groots language (as an elective) on Asgard... so when he introduces groot to steve as "Tree"... it can be implied that his actual name is "Tree"... not groot.

Jesse Penick

When I'm watching Infinity War I think it's my favorite MCU movie. Then I watch Endgame and think that's my favorite MCU movie.

Richard Maurer

I remember seeing both infinity war and endgame when they premiered it was so awesome, but rewatching infinity war the scene where they try to take off the gauntlet why didn’t they just chop off his hands seems like a way easier solution to me especially when nebula had her sword and tony could’ve blasted them off.

Richard Ortega

Yeah, the Russo Brothers did a brilliant thing faking the audience into thinking this was Thor's "hero's journey" right up the moment he buries the axe, and then you suddenly realize no, this is Thanos's hero's journey.

WalkingTaako

FWIW, for the most part, the only ones still alive are the original Avengers, with a couple of extras.

WalkingTaako

Advice: When you get to Endgame: 1) There are no "post-credits scenes" - though you should watch the end of the credits for an audio thing. 2) You should watch the pre-"scroll" credits of Endgame.

WalkingTaako

When the end of the move came up, my wife was so mad at me - she didn't know it was a two movie series.

WalkingTaako

The moment Thor caught the axe in Wakanda the theaters went absolutely insane. One of the greatest in person moments in movie history, just incredible energy in the audience. Only exceeded by Endgame. I can't wait to watch you experience it.

WalkingTaako

“He’s been upgraded to hot” might be the best quote of the series so far

Ben

Loved the reaction and also just a reminder to watch the credits for Avengers: Endgame!

bub b

Honestly, even with Hulk there it wouldn't have made a big difference. He would've done a lot of damage to the chitauri but we seen in the beginning how much stronger Thanos is than him.

damian

Rob watching the entire opening scene with his mouth agape is EVERYTHING we've been waiting for

WalkingTaako

LOVE THIS! you guys will be interested to know that the person they got to play Red Skull in this movie is actually Ross Marquand, the guy who plays Aaron in the walking dead!!

James Hickmott

Pretty much everything since Avengers in 2012 was building up to Infinity War and later Endgame which was originally named "Infinity War Part 2" but was renamed to Endgame. This movie is loosely based on the The Infinity War six-issue comic book but of course adapted for the MCU's universe. The comic had alot more hero's though from Avengers to X-Men, Fantastic Four, and not to mention all the solo characters as well. Pretty much the whole Marvel roster showed up, comics released across 1992 so 53 years of comic book history and characters since Marvel's first comic in 1939. The MCU only had a Decade so it's understandable that the comic would have alot more characters to pull from. but I do think it was good to feature a smaller cast of hero's so everyone get's focused on. And plus Marvel did not have the movie rights for X-Men and Fantastic Four so they were off the table anyways, Same with Civil War as well. Fun detail but this film was revealed all the way back in 2014 at the Phase Three Announcement which showcased a bunch of future Marvel projects, mostly titles. Here's a video of that day and fans reaction to the reveal https://youtu.be/L2VoJuVfbjI?t=1071 Now you got to wait for a whole year to react to Endgame lol

Isaac

This was in every way Thanos' movie. Destiny fulfilled.

Eric Gauthier

I'll never forget seeing this for the first time. What an absolutely bonkers comic book film, one of the very rare times when the villain winds up winning. Lots of amazing films in this franchise but Infinity War just might be my all-time favorite. Also, Red Skull is voiced by Ross Marquand in this film, AKA Aaron from TWD!

Joshua Markham

This is the reason why I hate movie Thanos in a comic book he worshiped death and a movie he wants to eliminate half of life which doesn't make sense because even with Earth we have still have enough resource for everybody you might say it's not we haven't touched every grain of the earth I can make this argument. the universe is too big we're just dust compared to the universe Good movie but I hate they rewrite Thanos motive

Mackendie

I remember seeing this in the cinema. When Fury turned to dust someone said "F**k this!" & walked out. The rest of us just kinda sat there in stunned silence.

Stephanie Battison

Needless to say, this was not my favorite movie, but I guess you know why. I never, ever expected to lose so many characters I just - newly - came to love. I binge-watched the series, after watching Guardians & Dr. Strange, and to have come into this one having only just found the series & gone through each of the character developments was just too much. But, after the emotion of it all receded, I came to appreciate it much more. Still very hard to watch, tho.

angie808

This is my favorite MCU film. I think it’s because it went a different direction in terms of the the good guys always winning but with this we see the villain win. To me it was a different change of pace

Jordan Erives

I will never forget seeing this film opening night in a packed theater, and the moment the smash cut to black from Thanos' satisfied face, a pause and then the credits begin, the sheer cacophony of dismayed howls mixed with admiringly stunned applause.

JD Nevesytrof

I LOVE when Thanos says, "C'mon!" to Iron Man as much as he's a villain and I don't want him to win he soooo badass!

Carrie Petty

Best cinema experience of all time

Hate Us Cuz They Aint Us

Just started watching, I laughed LOUD once I saw Rob wearing a baby Groot shirt. I look forward to the final scene 😂

Jose Zamora Orellana

I would add an extra nuance; As he famoulsy says: The hardest decisions require the strongest wills; He has great respect to people who have strong wills. When Quil "shoots" Gamora, he exclaims: "I like him" and just leaves without harming him and restoring Mantis & Drax. When he fatally stabs Starck in self defense, he pauses the fight and expresses in his own twisted way how he respects him and hope he is remembered. He appeared that he was about to reluctantly kill him, had Strange not stopped him. He knew that Starck was not going to give up and will try to pull anything he can till the end, & thought the only way to continue his quest was to eliminate him, even though he really didn't want. I also have a theory why he always seemed to bash on Nebula & favor Gamora. I think he believed Nebula didn't yet have a strong well focused will. He thought her too erratic. That's why he kept "improving" her cybernetically. While he favored Gamora for her natural strong will. He noticed it when he took her as a kid, and kept nurturing that will further and further.

Darth-Myself

It is astounding how over a span of 10 years, the writers have been meticulously building to that very moment in Infinity Wars. Seeding almost every movie with hints and crumbs and little details, which would all converge in one big bang with this movie. Great reaction as always. I could feel your pain and anguish and disbelief as we all felt the same time saw this movie. Can't wait for you to discover what the next 2 movies would uncover, and finally the Grand finale of this MCU phase, with End Game. I know it's hard to have one's brain blown out more after Infinity Wars, but I believe you will find that End Game will have a little extra mindblowingness to do.

Darth-Myself

The Thanos idealism.... I understand why they made it like it is in the MCU. In the comics, his motivations were different. There are cosmic 'concepts' of Fate, Eternity, Death etc, that are actual characters that come into some major stroylines, and in the comics Thanos was infatuated with Death, so much so that he was offering her 1/3rd of life in the universe as an courtship offering. The MCU version of Thanos was much more humanized by his motivation being one of galactic 'balance', instead of his purely self-interested comic goals. This made a much more satisfying villain, because one doesn't necessarily disagree 100% with what he is trying to accomplish.

Keith Duperreault

No spoilers here. Thanos didn't want to just obliterate people. He just wanted the stones. He barely used the glove offensively he just incapacitated people so that the glove could decide who lives and dies.

Tylor Smith

Just finished watching, and goddamn this movie still hits just as hard however many times later. So good! Thanks R&T for the excuse to rewatch this one! "If this was it: I'd hate it." -Rob Yeah, walking out of the theater for the first time seeing this on opening night was emotionally jarring not knowing how long we had to wait to find some kind of resolution! haha

Ryan Skinner

It's the hope that kills you.

Calculatus Eliminatus

Too many comments for me to check, someone has probably told you already, but the new voice of Red Skull is Ross Marquand aka Aaron from The Walking Dead. The guys a pretty sweet voice actor ^_^

Rick Tunnicliffe

Michonne as Okoye, Aaron as Red Skull... who am I missing?

Bassorelli Chiara

This is honestly one of the best superheros movie ever for me! And personally, my favorite MCU movie. I love seeing every character together and the great combinations they made, Tony and Doctor Strange two of the most intelligent people, dealing with the Guardians who are not the smartest but the best, I loved it.

Bassorelli Chiara

Can't wait to watch, about to start it up. This is my absolute favorite movie in the entire MCU. It absolutely made the franchise for me. I had seen every MCU movie in theaters from the beginning (except Dr Strange which I missed) and always found them enjoyable, but also found myself looking forward to them less and less each time. Then Infinity War happened, and seeing how gracefully they tied together 10 years of movies absolutely blew me away, and gave me a newfound appreciation for every one of the movies that came before it, and made the entire saga so special to me. And still there's so much to look forward to! Cheers R&T <3

Ryan Skinner

When you said "So emotional, this movie" I'm guessing a few hundred answered with "You ain't seen nothing yet". You would only know what the pager meant if you read the comics but you'll find out soon enough.

PsYcHoKiLLa

I love how they bring all the characters together in this movie. The banter between Strange and Tony, Spidey becoming an Avenger, Guardians meeting Avengers, Cap with his new style, the adventures of Thor, rabbit and tree… :) Everything was awesome. By the way, some people were really hating on Star-Lord after this movie, you know. But I think what he did was in character and I kind of felt for him. In fact, it reminded me of a line from Lost. SPOILERS FOR LOST At the end of season 4, after Keamy kills Alex, Ben stabs him even though he knows that once Keamy dies, the freighter will explode. He says to Locke, “Sometimes good command decisions get compromised by bad emotional responses.” I feel this line summarizes the scene with Star-Lord perfectly. Let’s not forget that he did the exact same thing to his dad once he said he put the tumor in her mother’s head. Just straight out attacked him. So, I think it would be weird if he didn’t attack Thanos right then and there. Besides, Strange said there was only one way that they’d win. So, even if Star-Lord hadn’t attacked him, Thanos would have got the upper hand in some other way, I think. Anyways, I’m so excited to see the rest of the movies with you guys. It’s always fun to watch your reactions because they’re so heartfelt. Thanks for sharing this journey with us. <3

bihtress23

Oh I couldn't wait for you guys to watch this one. You're reaction was, LITERALLY, everyone's reaction that saw this movie. But it's like the Stranger Things kids. We had never seen them lose. And we had never seen the Avengers lose as well. So it makes for great anticipation. But you will see what happens in End Game.

MYF TransportLLC

RIGHT!!!😂

CheshireKat528

Every time I watch this film - on titan when they're trying to get the gauntlet off ----- CHOP HIS ARM OFF!!!! 🤣

Jaxon's Jerseys

Yeah could never blame Quill for it. There was a lot of people who had a chance to ruin Thanos's plan and didn't Quill was just one. Quill has just lost too much and I'm pretty sure everyone would react the same in his shoes.

OnePlushyDude

Love infinity warbthe one year wait for end game sucked, but end game is even better imho

Kim Magee

01:43 Trin - "I don't want to loose anybody I love" Hmm...about that....

Chris B

100%

Kim Magee

"OH! Douchebag!" lmfao that was hilarious

Froziac

Just a little Easter egg but the guy who plays Thanos is the same guy who played Cable from deadpool 2

Capital

“I have lived most of my life surrounded by my enemies. I would be grateful to die surrounded by my friends.”- Gamora GOTG:Vol.1 So sad that she died the way she did, surrounded by her enemy. Loved the reaction. This is a rough one for sure. Can’t wait for you guys to see what the next 2 movies show us and of course how the Endgame plays out!!!

CheshireKat528

The last thing Groot says when he dusts is "Groot" to Rocket. The writers said it translates to "Dad". Enjoy crying again :D

Christopher Hird

Cap, Tony, Nebula, Natasha, Rhodey, Banner, Thor and Rocket are still around from what we know. I know it’s infuriating but I couldn’t blame Quill for lashing out like he did. He may be a comedic character but after losing his mum when he was young, killing his dad, his other dad dying for him and now losing Gamora its pretty tragic what he’s been through. One of my only gripes with this film is Drax, he’s still hilarious but they’ve kinda turned him into a joke, he deserved to do so much more damage to Thanos because of what he lost. It’s still unclear what’s happened to some characters like Wong, Pepper, Hawkeye and Antman.

Luke Fitton

Fun fact! You're right about Hugo Weaving being replaced as Red Skull. Coincidentally, the recast is actually Ross Marquand, the actor that plays Aaron on The Walking Dead!

Don't Take This Seriously

Thanos is such an interesting character, he is the hero of this movie in his own mind and has a mission in which he has to sacrifice so much. He knows from experience that his way is right even if most won't see it, and in the end he achieves his goal and the hero gets his happy ending watching the sunrise on his farm. Such a unique and interesting way to portray you ultimate big bad they've been setting up since the first Avengers.

Michael

i think there is 3 characters in this movie who are in twd

Decx

I always consider Infinity War to be the Empire Strikes Back of Marvel. We're down, but we're not out... we're in the endgame now.

Wendy Sparks

Now imagine seeing this in theaters and having to wait a year till endgame came out.

Scott Heuer

Cue Michael Scott… “Oh my GOD, it’s happening…”

Schmaster

Yay!! It's here, been waiting for this one!

Nella 6968

oh btw the actor of red skull in this movie is actually Aaron from twd

Ryan

After work, baby!

Dude

FYI, Ross Marquand (Aaron from TWD) is Red Skull in this movie :)

James

Yay bye ppl enjoy

Kim Magee

Keep Calm. It's Happening ! We're in the Endgame now. Seems likes only yesterday, you were beginning your MCU journey... Time flieees by, damn.

Tristan

Who needs sleep?! Let's go.

Wendy Sparks

Hell yeahhh!! :)

bihtress23

Ryan
