I just finished watching Episode 2 (I’ll be caught up to current by Monday morning) but I wanted to post a comment that was much more current. Rob mentioned after Episode 2 that he’s already resigned to the fact that he can only see this for the first time once. That fact right there is why (IMO) reaction channels are booming. Listening to the two of you react to what I think is the best written show that I’ve ever seen is as close to watching it for the first time. Like watching kids learn something, it’s a very satisfying feeling for me. I cannot wait for my “friends” who live an ocean away experience the rest of this show. I am super super eager for this journey and for you to find out what I already know.

2023-05-06 21:59:40 +0000 UTCWatching the scene from earlier in the show where Flint says that it is intolerable to apologize to England is soooo powerful on your second watch through when you know that it's not out of pride or ego. I mean, I always figured that there was more to it, but knowing the real reason really makes that line hit so much harder, knowing that his rage and drive for vengeance is so completely justified.

2023-05-06 13:01:56 +0000 UTCi share the pain re: 1 ep a week but they make a good point that since its relatively short, they want to savour it and have it to watch for some time to come, if they were doing 2 eps a week since the start, it'd be in the last season now and we'd pretty much be coming to the end in a few weeks, and that would suck, so despite itching for 2 a week I'm very cool with just the one as it means i have black sails R+T to look forward to for many months to come :D

Love how detail oriented you two are, other reactors somehow didn't pick up on the Flint & Thomas relationship but you two were all over it. My only criticism is that you only watch one episode per week. Can't wait for the remaining half of season 2, I hope you are prepared for some S tier television!
