2023-02-27 21:40:53 +0000 UTCExcluding the Infinity Duology (which need to be excluded because this whole rating system falls apart otherwise), this is my favourite MCU movie so far! Love the grittier, more grounded feel of this one. Also, 'DC Metro Police shows no units in this area' was a massive 'oh shit' moment for me in the entire MCU.

2023-02-27 19:07:44 +0000 UTCOne of the absolute best of the best in the MCU! So great to rewatch this one again. It really showcases Marvel's ability to step outside the confines of what people expected a "super hero movie" to be at the time, by really dipping into some genre crossovers with more espionage and intrigue-based stories on top of the expected action (which is also top-tier!) Also, Rob's line about the Insight warehouse reminding him of HYDRA very early on had me laughing out loud. :D Cheers R&T!

2023-02-27 14:27:37 +0000 UTCAs per if this is following the comics: (without spoilers) The comics are dated by the time period... some characters histories had to be altered slightly to explain why things are happening in modern day, instead of when the stories in the comics happened (in the 70's, 0's 90's, etc). Large stories from over the years were ripped out fairly respectfully, and all stitched together into a larger storyarc to fit the MCU. The characters you see, and will see are pretty comic accurate, some with minor changes. They really did do an excellent job though tying everything together in the end.
