The sad thing is, with Karas history of abuse, when Adama was violent with her, and she said “nice to know you still care Admiral,” she really meant it. In her head, her mums abuse was part of her love. She’s always been fine when Lee has been violent with her, and she’s fine being violent with him, because to her, that’s love. And She can’t wrap her head around the fact that Sam doesn’t want to hurt her, even though he loves her and she’s loves/hurts him.
