I also see Leoben - or the small number of physical versions that we've seen tormenting Starbuck - as a sex pest. On New Caprica, Leoben raped her mind, her will and her heart, not to mention telling her she'd been medically raped on Cylon-occupied Caprica with their theft of her ovary. I think Leoben did see patterns, but I'm not convinced he only saw himself in her mind and her future. I think Leoben also saw Head Leoben, and assumed it was one of his brother-copies.
