Maggie isn't just upset about Beth, it's about loosing hope in general... Beth is a symbol of that lost hope which is magnified in the dire circumstances they are in.

Maggie is wrecked because she thought she was given back her only remaining family as a gift. Then to have it taken away before she could even hug her again, felt like hope was lost and seeing her dead in front of her was just devastating.

When the gang were standing in the road and it started raining, if I'm remembering correctly it actually did start raining at the exact right time. I loved the fact that you finally get to see what Maggie had been going through and why she didn't address stuff with Beth earlier. I understand how she's down right now because she thought her sister was dead and dealt with it and finding Glenn gave her purpose. Then she found out she was alive and then deadthe same day and I think seeing Beth in Daryl's arms is what destroyed her and made her feel like there was no reason left to go on even though she had Glenn. There are so many people who lose a loved one and even though they have spouse or children, give up. I feel so bad for her and for Sasha because they keep losing people and it's devastating.
