After all, who would pick algae when you'd have an alternative option? So, not just a coincidence for both sides being there, but also them finding the temple to begin with as well.

Fwiw they only converged at that planet because the hybrid started spouting some prophecy that baltar decoded to come up with 'eye of Jupiter' and the only reason the fleet was there was to get algea to make food so still a massive coincidence (only made wilder by the super nova)
