So… in case you don’t remember… All these Rose Quartzes that appeared in this episode were all those Bubbled Gems we saw in the Zoo in the episode “That Will be All” from season 4. I also love that the 3 Roses we spend time with are basically all different sides of Steven’s Mom… her constant excitement and eagerness to learn new things… Her calmness and serene demeanor that treats almost all around her not too seriously… And her mature and introspective self when she’s been the wise and firm leader as well as mother figure that everyone else needed.

2024-10-15 20:40:30 +0000 UTCRe: the portrait on Steven's wall with Garnet and a cherub Steven that you were like "wut" about, we see this briefly at the end of a s5 episode- Vidalia painted it for them! It's such a silly portrait, I'm happy to see Steven still has it on display, ahahah. I really like the conclusion Steven comes to in this episode, that he and the Rose Quartzes are basically like "siblings" due to how they're all creations of his mom. It's a very sweet little concept ;w; Greg's constant emotional gutpunches with exes and people who look like past loves in this episode wins the laugh award for me in this episode, LOL. The poor man. I adore the scene where he just goes "NOPE!" and runs back out.
