Chapter 98 Mysterious Arts

Seeing Xavier and the others enter, he spoke in a long, drawn-out voice, "I never expected to see Saiyans after the destruction of Planet Vegeta!"
"The rumors of the Yardrats possessing mysterious arts are true. Since you know our identity, you should know our purpose," Xavier's calm voice echoed, while Celine and Bardock remained silent.
The Yardratian took a deep look at Xavier, shook his head, and said, "Saiyans are still as volatile as ever, but you're much better than King Vegeta."
"You met King Vegeta?" Xavier was somewhat surprised.
"Yes, many years ago. King Vegeta came to Planet Yardrat, asking us to predict the future for the Saiyans. Ha, many things could have been avoided, but your stubborn king didn't understand strategic retreat, and in the end, he perished with Planet Vegeta!"
Xavier was astonished by the Yardratian's words. So, King Vegeta had come to Planet Yardrat, which meant he knew the fate of the Saiyans. Why did he still go his own way?
He quickly dismissed the thought. After all, King Vegeta was history; now, he was the leader of the Saiyans.
At this moment, Xavier looked at the Yardratian with a new understanding. Judging by the outcome, King Vegeta was no match for this Yardratian. Otherwise, with his knowledge of the Saiyans' future, King Vegeta would never have spared Planet Yardrat.
Yet, here was Planet Yardrat, still intact, while Planet Vegeta was destroyed.
Clearly, King Vegeta couldn't deal with the Yardratians! Xavier's mind was clear.
"For some reason, the future has changed. The prophecy said all Saiyans would be destroyed with Planet Vegeta, but now, so many have survived. I don't understand, I don't understand!" The Yardratian sighed repeatedly, puzzled by the significant change in the prophesied events.
Watching the Yardratian lament, Xavier's heart was suddenly touched. This Yardrat truly was mysterious!
Perhaps Goku's ability to learn Instant Transmission on Planet Yardrat, yet unable to teach it to others, was closely related to their personal tutelage, Xavier speculated.
"Since you can foresee the future, can you help us achieve our goal?" Xavier asked.
"Whether it can be done depends not on me, but on yourselves."
"On ourselves?"
"Yes!" The Yardratian lifted his head, his deep, sacred green eyes flickering with a faint red light. He sighed deeply, "You are far more formidable than I imagined. King Vegeta is nothing compared to you. Alright, follow me."
With that, he got up and walked outside. Xavier and the others exchanged glances and followed him out.
Although this Yardratian seemed quite eccentric, he certainly possessed some real skill.
Jumping down from the towering stone pillars, the Yardratian led the way. After about ten minutes, they stopped in front of a massive granite door at the base of a cliff. The door, approximately five meters wide and tall, was weathered and covered in indistinct patterns, appearing as though it had endured the test of time. Xavier stood still, gazing at the scene before him. The immense doors were embedded into the cliffside, with vivid totem symbols carved into the protruding cliffs on either side.
This stone door had quite a history, Xavier thought.
"Go inside. The walls are inscribed with many of our Yardratian techniques. You may choose one skill to learn, but no more than two, or your minds won't withstand the strain," the Yardratian instructed.
Nodding with curiosity, they prepared to enter when the Yardratian spoke again, "The Saiyan beside you has been cursed by a Kanassan, correct? You should choose the 'True Spirit Art' to enhance your foresight."
"Thank you!" Bardock, his lips quivering, felt a rush of emotion. He didn't care much about the foresight; he just wanted to remove the Kanassan curse.
The Yardratian nodded. "You Saiyans have committed many sins. Except for that little girl, your hands are stained with countless lives. Without change, you're all bound for hell, just like King Vegeta, bringing calamity upon yourselves!"
Xavier paused, turning to face the Yardratian with a serious expression. "The Yardratians are indeed a remarkable people. You don't seem to fear the Saiyans at all. I'm curious what gives you such confidence. But I appreciate your warning."
"Saiyans are a warrior race, but not a barbaric one. Many things can be changed."
"Heh, I hope so," the Yardratian chuckled softly, shaking his head as he turned to leave, seemingly indifferent to everything.
This Yardratian was indeed peculiar. Despite their immense power and countless mysterious arts, they chose to live peacefully on their small planet, never showcasing their strength to the outside world.
This was in stark contrast to the Saiyans. Xavier acknowledged that there truly was a race in the universe that maintained its purity and peace.
But there was another possibility: they might have used their vast abilities to predict the future, knowing that this was the best way for them to survive!
Shaking his head to dismiss these thoughts, Xavier refocused on the massive stone door before him. Pushing it open, they stepped inside to find a long, winding staircase descending into the earth.
Following the stairs down for about three or four minutes, the space suddenly opened up. An ornate underground palace appeared before Xavier and his companions.
Magnificent and splendid.
The palace was built with fist-sized blue and white stones, intricately interwoven with patterns that were simple yet beautiful. The abstract, aesthetically pleasing carvings on the surrounding stone walls immediately conjured images of ancient Yardrat in Xavier's mind.
"Mental impact!"
Xavier snapped back to reality, looking at the various glowing green carvings on the walls. His heart surged with awe. Upon closer inspection, the carvings seemed ordinary yet exuded a subtle mystery.
