Some Changes to Patreon
Added 2022-01-24 21:57:09 +0000 UTCHey gang. Here to talk about some of the changes to patreon! Nothing super major and hopefully will be adding more than removing.
Removing requests and first grabs at commission slots:
After a nice chat with the lovely Segremores, I decided I wanted to go through and change some flaws when it came to my patreon. A big one is feeling obligated to offer art rewards. The way I've been treating it until now hasn't really been any different than how I treat commissions. Patreon should be a place used to share ideas and content I might normally not share with the public, or to raise support for projects such as comics. I want patreon to be something where I can make content I enjoy. One thing to help steer me in that direction would be removing the chance at getting free art.
As for removing the first in line for commissions bonus, this one is fairly self explanatory. I changed my commissions to always be open, so now there is no need to give that first chance as an incentive. Luckily it never really got used anyways when offered, so now I can focus on finding things to better fill its space with.
Change in content:
If you already read my journal on FA, then you know where this is going. I am going to be curating what I share to patreon from here forward. I want a very clear path to follow with my patreon. I don't want people joining after seeing my TF art and assuming this is a TF only patreon. So starting next month, the main focus will be on general NSFW as well as hyper, vore, bellies and other similar themes.
WIPs, new content, and other changes:
One of the things I want to start sharing here more often is WIPs. I recently followed a few other artists and noticed a new trend of them deciding to share their works in progress. The ones not hopping on the trend have been doing it all along. So why not join them eh? There's tons of WIPs I have that I've never finished and may never finish. So why not start sharing them right?
Other than WIPs, one thing I want to start, or in this case get back to, is just randomly making content that appeals to me. Admittedly, for a while now I have been meandering through my exclusives. I miss doing random packs of art or trying new things out. I plan to get back to that now! I want to pick back up the Spyro Dragon series and maybe even start some new ones.
One of the last things I want to get back to is posting more to the actual site instead of just discord. I think I will start off slow and see how it impacts my over all account here. If numbers don't change or increase, then I may change to focus all my efforts here. If they go down, than I know to keep it to Discord.
Then the last bit involves announcing when this change will take place. Since it is the end of January, I'll hold off on doing anything big for now. So I hope you all eagerly wait in anticipation for a large influx of art coming in February!
