Dance magic was really fun! Nice involvement of Crystal prep. I loved sugarcoat soooo much! She’s great. Also great music to tie it all in!
Definitely the weaker one but still had it’s fun parts and felt more like a set up for the glorious mirror magic.
Man…. This was incredible. I lost my mind seeing Sunset back in ponyville. I’ve wanted that for so long even if it was a second. And then THEY INCLUDED STARLIGHT. What a duo, pairing, and the message of fear and power was tremendous. Wow. I agree it was a nice mini movie! Definitely like this more than camp everfree respectfully.

Yes dance magic was great!
Mirror magic was so legendary 😭😭😭. It was everything I’ve fantasized about.
Juniper was an interesting villain but her resolve was pretty weak BUT loved how they flipped it back to starlight. Great stuff

Dance magic was pretty awesome loved seeing the crystal prep girls be reformed, movie magic was a pretty fun mystery I liked the power ponies reference and pinkie was funny it, and mirror magic was my favorite, it is definitely so amazing seeing starlight and sunset meet something i didn’t think would ever happen but it did and it was glorious, starlight and sunset work as best friends it’s like a dream come true, I loved the redemption arc of juniper that was emotional and amazing, I love how the parallels between all of them was brought up and how forgiving of a group they are, the fandom freaked out when this happened it was huge moment in the show!!

These Equestria Girls Specials provides a delightful continuation of the EQG-Movies:
Dance Magic serves as a follow-up to Legends of Everfree, where the Mane 7 are still determined to raise funds for Camp Everfree. In a bold move, they decide to participate in a high-stakes music video competition, with Rarity leading the charge by providing costumes and creative vision. However, they struggle to perfect the choreography needed to make their video a success. Meanwhile, we are reintroduced to four of the Crystal Prep Academy girls (Sour Sweet, Sugarcoat, Sunny Flare, and Lemon Zest) who are trying to raise money for a spring dance aboard a yacht. They resort to "borrowing" Rarity's idea but lack the right music to pull it off. Despite some questionable actions, the two groups eventually put aside their differences. The CPA-Students had just their classmates' best interests at heart. In the end, they join forces to create an impressive music video, resulting in a win for everyone. This special is filled with delightful details, such as Rarity's dramatic fainting couch, Lyra and Bon Bon’s cameo, Pinkie Pie's antics, and her iconic rapping segment. The teal haired one is Sugarcoat - her sharp and blunt wit match her name if you ask me.
In Movie Magic, the Mane 7 are invited by film director Canter Zoom to visit a movie set as a thank-you for saving Camp Everfree. Canter Zoom, introduced as a friend of Gloriosa Daisy and Timber Spruce’s parents in Legend of Everfree, was also one of the donors at the fundraiser party. On set, we meet the human version of Daring Do, portrayed by Chestnut Magnifico, and are introduced to Juniper Montage, who desperately desires the lead role in the Daring Do film. So much so that she begins sabotaging the production. The Mane 7 embark on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase to catch the culprit, with a strong nod to the classic Scooby-Doo style. - Sadly, the culprit was obvious from the start, which made this special a weak contender. However, it was packed with clever references to other films like Avengers (Power Pony's), Fast and Furious (sets), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs ("Stormy with a Side of Pudding") and Indiana Jones (including iconic props and costumes). In the end, the Mane 7 are rewarded with cameo roles in the film, adding a neat conclusion to the adventure and a promising villain for the next special.
Mirror Magic ties everything together, showing how Juniper Montage’s jealousy and frustration lead her down a darker path after she was driven mad by the Mane 7's overall presence. She is blaming the Mane 7 for her demotion to a menial job, Juniper becomes increasingly obsessed with them, especially after seeing their success in the "Dance Magic" video and on the movie poster from "Movie Magic". This obsession drives her to fall under the influence of a magical mirror that promises fame and revenge. As the situation escalates, Sunset Shimmer grows concerned about the increasing presence of random haywire magic in the human world and writes to Princess Twilight for advice. Running out of pages in her journal, Sunset unexpectedly travels back to Equestria to get a new one and meets Starlight Glimmer.
This encounter was a delightful surprise! Bringing together two former villains who have found redemption. I found Starlight’s design, complete with a cute beanie, to be particularly endearing. Watching Sunset and Starlight work together in the human world was a highlight for me - showing how their shared experiences make them a formidable duo. Starlight’s understanding of redemption ultimately helps Juniper see the error of her ways, bringing a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.
Overall, these specials are a treat. It had great music, vibrant dance sequences, and the return of familiar faces like the Crystal Prep girls, Daring Do and especially Starlight. The interconnected storylines make it feel like a mini-movie, culminating in a strong finale. And while Juniper Montage may not be the most compelling villain, her redemption was okay. However, the real stars are Starlight and Sunset, whose teamwork and growth shine throughout the specials. Their bond and Starlight’s role in resolving the final conflict make this series of specials a standout in the Equestria Girls franchise.
It was nice to see that you had some fun watching it, I loved how you were surprised by "Mirror Magic", it was also one of my most liked specials of EQG. - thank you for reacting to this. 💙
P.S.: The shorts are indeed more casual and you shouldn't expect them to go deep - these are more like little fun episodes about each of the characters.
Ranking:

Dance one was a great one! I have to remember the low stakes can also be fulfilling. But love the Crystal Prep involvement! I like a lot of those characters.
Yeah movie left to be desired but think daring do just doesn’t do it for me.
And mirror magic might be one of my all time fav moments of the series! It was special

Mirror Magic being the best of the three is a pretty common opinion among reactors, though I personally really enjoy Dance Magic in all its low-stakes simplicity as well. If nothing else it's nice to see a little more of the Crystal Prep characters. Movie Magic being the least of the three is a fairly consensus opinion for sure
