Frost Heart Sorcerer

“The magic that infuses your being originates from the primordial cold of the universe allowing you to call upon frost and snow as if they were extensions of yourself. Your command over these elements is unparalleled.

This keen control over the cold hints at your connection to another of these manifestations of the universe's frigid forces. You might have survived a terrible blizzard or avalanche that left you permanently altered by the experience. You might have made contact with the Paraelemental Plane of Ice or a being from its frosty realm. Perhaps even an ancestral tie to the Feylords of the Winter Court.

Regardless of your circumstances, what remains true is that the cold winds howl within you, like a swirling storm of ice and snow. All you have to do is… let it go."

Level 3: Frozen Spells
When you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Frozen Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Sorcerer Level Spells

3 Ray of Frost, Armor of Agathys, Ice Knife, Gust of Wind, Mirror Image

5 Sleet Storm, Slow

7 Ice Storm, Arctic Circle*

9 Cone of Cold, Control Winds

Level 3: Sorcerous Skates

Whenever you cast a spell that deals Cold damage or activate one of your Metamagic options, you can channel your connection to ice and cold to freeze the ground beneath your feet. Until the end of your next turn, your movement speed increases by 15 feet as you slide along the ground, leaving a 5-foot wide trail of ice behind you. During this time, Opportunity Attacks against you are made at Disadvantage.

For creatures other than yourself, this trail of ice is considered Difficult Terrain. Ice trails created by you melt away at the end of your next turn. 

Level 6: Cold Blooded

The power of the primordial ice in your veins grants you Resistance to Cold damage. In addition, you ignore the effects of cold weather and may ignore any difficult terrain created by ice or snow, magical or otherwise. 

Level 6: Icy Incantations

While your Innate Sorcerer feature is active, you may spend 1 Sorcery Point when casting a spell that deals Cold damage, to cause that spell to ignore Damage Resistance to Cold and to treat Damage Immunity to Cold as Resistance.

Level 14: Slip and Slide

When activating your Sorcerous Skates ability, your speed now is increased by 30 feet and you may create ice slides that allow you to move vertically as well as horizontally. When doing so, you may only move 5 feet vertically, for every 5 feet moved horizontally.  (I.e. You must move forward 5ft and upward 5ft at the same time). If your Innate Sorcery feature is active, you may ignore this restriction. 

In addition, whenever a creature steps onto your trail of ice, you may use a Reaction to force that creature to make a Dexterity Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC or fall prone. 

Level 18: Winter’s Wall

You can cast Wall of Ice without Verbal or Material components. When casting this spell, you may spend 5 Sorcery Points to ignore the Concentration requirement for the spell, but you cannot have more than one instance of this spell cast at a time. You can also cast it once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to cast it in this way when you finish a Long Rest. 

Additionally, while Wall of Ice is active, your Sorcerous Skates ability remains active as well and allows you to skate along this wall freely, even along vertical surfaces and upside down, while leaving your hands free.
