Harry and the Dursleys suddenly being in the lighthouse shack is just one of many things these movies skip and gloss over, that were given context in the books. The Uncle did say in the movie, whilst the house was being flooded with letters, that they wanted to get far away where they hoped the owls with their letters wouldn’t find them, was hard to discern for you through the din of confusion in that scene. In the book it’s more gradual. They leave their house, and stop at various places to see if they’re out of reach of the letters being delivered, before eventually getting to the shack at sea that they rent out on the spot.

Lots of great new things coming out but the classics made their mark. Not everyone is as willing to sit through them like you are. Brings a tear to my eye. lol
