D's Character Snippet: Alternate Timeline

It appears I'm at the stage of my life where I get random body aches for no discernible reason. I have no idea why, but last week one of my fingers started randomly swelling up and hurting bad, so I was hampered from writing for a while. I didn't jam it or hit it anywhere either. It still feels stiff but the swelling has gone down, and it doesn't hurt anymore (until I type for too long), so there's that!! 💀
Anyways, I managed to write this snippet well enough, so hopefully with another week, it'll be fully healed. In the meantime: the snippet for D as promised!! I planned it to be a bit more romantic with the Crown at first, but then it unexpectedly featured a very sweet moment with their mother that I think you'll also appreciate.
