Weekly Progress Update [14/AUG]

Heya, hope your August is going well so far!!

I'm wrapping up the last bits for the LI routes in preparation for the first early access this Thursday, and the amount of variation ended up wayyyyy surpassing my initial estimate. 

The LI routes alone have ended up being 70k words in total. The main reason for this concerns the variations in the court scenes that occur in D and X's routes specifically. The court scene accounts for 1) if you dismissed Minister Besna from the Office of Law, and if you replaced her with Nûdem, 2) if you made Lady Naza Minister of Defense, and 3) if you allied with Minister Awir and the royal historians. 

So that's where the extra 10k ended up coming from lol. R and A's routes will also have a court scene, but theirs happens later on in the chapter, so it won't feature in the early access. You'll see it in the public release!

X and D also have a bit more in wordcount each since they were both absent last chapter while A and R got romance scenes, but to put the differences in terms you can compare easily:

R & A have around 15 passages each, while D & X have around 22 passages each. 

Once again, I cannot understate how WILDLY different CH11 is going to be depending on your LI. If you're romancing R, you get psychological mindfuckery. If you're romancing A, you get a Huge Emergency in the city. If you're romancing X, you get a political crisis and a romantic confrontation. If you're romancing D, you also get a political crisis but it's followed by a long-awaited Backstory Reveal.

Also, I should mention, I didn't have the time to get the chapter beta-read. I'm making sure it's as polished as possible before releasing it, but if you notice more typos or bugs than usual, that's the reason why haha.

As soon as the LI routes are finished this Thursday, I'm going to finish up the "main" portion of the chapter. Right now I'm in the ballpark of 85k for the chapter as a whole, I think there's about 5-8k left to write. So yeah, we're definitely cracking 90k lol.

OH I almost forgot!! I'm going to have to release the first character snippet at the end of this week, since I'm prioritizing CH11's early access at the moment and couldn't find the time to write it last week. Sorry about that!!
