A's Character Snippet: CH10 Scene & New UI

Hey all, hope your week has started well!! ✨

I'm here with A's snippet as promised, AND I've updated the bonus content file with the new theme that I've been working on!!

I got some feedback from tier 2+ patrons after releasing it for the main game last week, so for those who have already seen it, I tweaked the background color for the dark mode since I was told the white-on-black was a bit harsh, so it should be a little easier on the eyes now.!! Also fixed the settings menu acting a little weird, I think. I hope.

For those who haven't seen it yet, the new theme has settings to change font type and font size, as well as switch between light and dark mode, and it has an adjustable mobile layout so you can read it in portrait mode/vertically on your phone!!

Note: In some mobile browsers, the pop-ups for the settings options don't seem to work - or maybe it's specific to Android/my phone. Like, they'll briefly pop open and then immediately close again before you can select anything.

I managed to get it working on Firefox, but as always, itch io is very finicky, so if the pop-ups don't work for you, try opening the game in a different browser!! You can submit feedback about the new UI anonymously with this Google form.

Anyways, about A's snippet - the slow burn is Slow Burning, but we've finally arrived at the point where the Royal Protector actually wants to be the Royal Protector haha. Only took us, what, 9 chapters? 🤪

It's a glimpse of what (partially) prompts A to trust the Crown with the full truth of their backstory in Chapter Ten. Like, yeah, they say "it's because you trusted me first", but what A didn't admit to is how their personal feelings are also gradually changing as a result of that.

More of that in CH11, depending on what choices your Crown makes 👀 But in the meantime, have this snippet!
