Progress Report

Okay! So, progress on various things this month is...sort of good?

First, and doing the best overall, is progress on the new game (Modded, still a temp name, need to sort that out). I'm nearly 80 renders in, with a target of around 110-120 renders for the month. The first segment of the game, effectively a two-path 'intro,' is already fully rendered. The sample images attached to the post are all from that segment, actually. The second segment, which is where the main character finds her way into her first town, turns a bit more Haven's Port style free roam in gameplay. More limited in scope, of course, but still a bit less linear overall. That segment is well underway and will be where the game cuts off for November. Honestly, no complaints at all on the progress I've made with this, it's going pretty smoothly. Though we'll see how working with Twine again goes after two years away from it...

Second is the rest of the ordinary rewards stuff. I haven't touched the short story yet, but I have managed to catch the Mixed Media Short up to where it ought to be. I've got 10 renders done for it, which is right about where it should be this time of the month. Excellent progress consider I got a a bit of a late start on it.

Lastly is the Left Hand Magic Sound Project which...is where things have fallen apart, a bit. I've only gotten a small handful of animations their sound, which isn't nearly where I wanted to be. The whole point in taking on a smaller game for November and December was so I could spend time sorting out the Sound Project. That hasn't worked out. Yet, at least.

I'm going to try and make a bigger dent over the next few days by focusing down more heavily on it. I was trying to avoid needing to grind it, since working on the Sound Project is kinda miserable. There was a good reason I outsourced it in the first place, as it's a lot of boring-as-heck grunt work. Not hard, just...draining. We'll see how those few days of focusing down hard on it do, before I give into any form of despair of actually getting it done >_<.
