Poll Results/Progress Report
Added 2025-05-13 22:56:11 +0000 UTCFirst, sorry for the short radio silence. Had some minor (hopefully) medical stuff pop-up and take up time unexpectedly. I've managed to mostly keep on track for the various actual projects, but haven't had a lot of time free to make posts and such. That said, let's get the poll results out of the way first! Note that the Feedback Poll is not included, as it hasn't ended. Feel free to go vote there if you haven't done so yet, I want as many of you to respond to that as possible for the best data.
Short Story Poll
I'm seriously beginning to wonder if this is still worth it. Out of the 106 people who could have voted in this poll, only 13 people actually did. It may be time to consider nixing these entirely, but that would be a subject for a poll of it's own. For now, here are the results for this month:
-------------
Alyia and the Magic Shop: 60
Deck of Many Lewd Things: 45
Contract Doll: 30
Andrea of the Silver Key: 15
An App for That: 5
Surprise Me(Portals): 0
-------------
Alyia and the Magic shop took a pretty clean victory, though I was happy to see the Deck of Many Lewd Things and Contract Doll, two stories I honestly wish I could take a bit farther, get solid representation too. For this month, of course, expect another entry in the Alyia and the Magic Shop series.
Mixed Media Short Poll
This one had a bit of an underwhelming turnout as well, which might explain why we ended up with a Tie between another Cara Loft entry and Cyberpunk Dreams, a new option I've put up for the last couple of months. Frankly, I'm sort of sick of only doing Virtual Trap and Cara Loft, so when I cast the tiebreaker vote, I favored the new story. We'll be getting a first look at Cyberpunk Dreams this time as a result. Basic premise, for those that can't see the voting, is a someone getting essentially Iseakied into an advanced futa Sex Doll in the year 2088. With a generally cyberpunk setting.
-------------------------------------------------------
Alright! Those are the poll results! Now, for the progress report! I'm just going to lump this altogether instead of dividing it, this time.
Work on the Harem Route for Left Hand Magic is going decently. Despite the late start due to last month's overrun, I've just about finished three days of week 2. My goal is to get all of week 2 done as a bare minimum. I'd like to get at least a few days into Week 3 as well. But we'll see, last month overrunning fairly far into this month might have shot the chances of that firmly in the left kneecap.
Cyberpunk Dreams, meanwhile, I got a bit of a slow start on due to the medical stuff I mentioned at the start of this post. However, a slow start isn't no start. I have the first three renders done and expect to get at least one more done tonight. Really, I'm only maybe a day behind where I would normally be for this. So not that bad, assuming the medical stuff resolves itself without causing too many more hiccups in my regularly scheduled programming.
That's it for now! I'll try to get back faster than this last gap for another progress report...
Comments
Eh. There are still quite a few people who read, given that I run a fanfiction patreon that makes almost as much as this one does for a hell of a lot less time commitment these days. I just think there might be less crossover between VN players and readers than there used to be. Which makes sense of the pattern, actually. My older works all were more text-heavy, so there was more crossover with readers. But VNs are pretty much exclusively a text-story Replacement. For those that want some visuals with their reading. I recognize most of those still voting in the Short Story polls as patrons who have been around since previous games, which were much more text heavy than Left Hand Magic. Hmmm, now that I think about it, the drop off DOES make sense. It only really started when Haven's Port wrapped up and Left Hand Magic became the lone game under development. Going to need to think on that... Oh, and good luck with Blender :-p. I tried once and gave up quickly. Admittedly that was mostly because I was ALSO learning Daz at the time, and they were too much together. But still, I found a lot of Blender to very obtuse and non-intuitive....

2025-05-16 15:56:53 +0000 UTCAfter seeing what is happening on some forums, I am not sure if many people even read anymore π€. They just want to look a pictures, gifs and YouTube's (and of course, complain π). I am still trying to play "catch up" with all these stories, and I will eventually get to all of them. At the same time, I am trying proofread games, and learn Blender, ahhhhhhhh π΅βπ«. Blender will take a lot of time (years probably) π€.
