Play On Tabletop is on a really wild ride, especially this year. We started with big dreams and big goals and in many ways we have accomplished what we set out to do. We wanted to make a tabletop gaming channel that gave our fans unparalleled content quality and we believe that we have succeeded there. However, there is some things about the experience that our team has not been able to keep up with: a consistent release schedule; and, good community engagement, particularly when it comes to giving our Patrons the time and attention that you deserve.
We want to take responsibility for that and set some new goals for the future - goals that we know we can consistently hit.
One important place we felt we didn't quite hit the mark is with our Patreon Exclusive Show. We had visions of a regularly updated, Patreon engaged show. But we just weren't happy with the quality level we hit with it, nor the way we communicated with you. It was meant to be much more interactive. Between challenges keeping a regular filming schedule and unfortunate technical issues that led to having to drop some episodes we just have not been able to release regularly. We needed to be more forthcoming with news on what was happening and we are sorry. We want to earn the trust you have so generously given us.
We have a couple more episodes of Crusade that will end this season and then we are heading back to drawing board to come up with something better for 2021.
In the video post Nick and Tak have more information, and the long and short of it is, because of your generous contributions, Play On is poised for tremendous growth in the next year.
If all goes according to plan, next year we should be able to consistently release content at double or maybe even triple the pace we do now.
We are excited to finish 2020 (as I'm sure everyone is, haha #toosoon). Please stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks. Thank you for joining us on this epic journey!
From everyone here at Play On Tabletop... Play On!
