All Access T-Shirts!

T-Shirts are coming very soon! Here are all the details!

Hello, Everyone!

It is fair to say that 2020 has been a little strange for us all. We made some promises to all of our 10$ tier supporters to deliver them a Play On T-shirt. While the Pandemic did mess with those plans, I need to be honest, it wasn't just that. We love making our video content, we love playing games and we know a whole lot about both of those things... we don't, however, have a resident expert in the logistical challenge of shipping T-shirts all over the world. We discovered that we needed to train somebody to do this very important job.

There is a great story to our T-shirt woes that some of you might find entertaining but I'm aware that everyone's time is precious. We'll do a short version and a long version.

Short Version

Somebody said "Let's give them T-Shirts". Everyone else said "Yes, let's!". Nobody knew how to do that (whoops). We are learning how to do that and getting T-shirts made. Pandemic kicks the world right in the sprouts. T-shirt factory goes down. Play On Tabletop panics (mostly Tak, but still... panic). T-shirt factory opens back up like... yesterday... and Play On Tabletop (mostly Tak) is smiling again. T-Shirts will start being shipped out in early June! They will be on their way soon!

^^Picture of the Play On All Access T-Shirt AND the Victor T-Shirt. A Victor T-Shirt can never be sold or given away... it can only be won! The winners of 40k in 40m episodes will walk away with a Victor T-Shirt!

Long Version

We want to do something unique for our highest tier of Patreon supporters and a T-shirt seemed like the best way to do it. When we set out to build Play On, we were a collection of hobby gaming enthusiasts, technical professionals, and performance aficionados... we were not yet a team. As we grew together creating content for Play On Tabletop, something that we honestly lacked was the logistical knowledge necessary to deliver physical products. There were gaps that needed to be filled. We did get to work on these issues, we swear! To prove it to you, here are the relevant internet history searches taken from Tak's computer (dangerous, I know) and in the order in which he searched them...

- How to set up a Canada Post account.

- How should you ship a T-shirt? How much are the costs?

- How to fold a T-shirt to the size of an iPod.

- How to fold a T-shirt to the size of an iPod shuffle.

- Are sleeveless Tees less expensive than regular Tees and are they in style?

- Can I pull off a sleeveless look?

We looked at manufacturing companies for our shirts and we needed an option that provided quality shirts at a cost we could sustain. Eventually we found the shirts we wanted and the designs that we liked. We told you all that T-shirts would be on the way soon and we really did think that to be true. However, life put a little spice on the curve ball on known as COVID-19. As restrictions went in place and Social Distancing became our new normal, the T-shirt company closed down for the safety of their employees and the community. For two months we waited.

However, just the other day the company spurred back to life and resumed their operations. We are back in business!

Quantities on these shirts are still limited, however we believe we'll have enough to give all of you the shirt that we promised you. Please, if you haven't already, ensure we have your address and shirt size. We sincerely apologize for the delay and hope to see these being worn all around the world very soon.

Until we see you again in the far flung future of the grim dark universe, Play On!
