Monthly Progress Report - July

Hello Everyone!

I always thought that writing the introduction paragraph of our reports would become easier after they started to pile on, but here I am, a year of reports later(that's right, it’s an anniversary!) and I still find myself to be lost, writing these without repeating myself over and over is quite a challenge, but well, at least this first paragraph is far less important than what we had to say for last month, so let's get to it!

Have you ever looked at something you have done a few weeks back, maybe months, or even years? Well, our first report was posted one year ago, and I still remember how hard it was to structure everything we put into it, but after publishing, we ended up being very happy with how this format turned out, to a point that the structure remains almost the same up to this day.

Last month you saw different iterations of many of our scenes, this particular one was full of rough edges while in the concept stage, but after refinement the entire look blossomed, then, we previewed how amazing it looks in full paint, just like our minds fantasized about it.

Also, we will be posting the remaining full colors needed for our next update very soon!

There were three more artworks we shared last month, first, a refined version of one of our sketches featuring Meriandra reading her notebook; the second was a readjustment of our final scene so things could move more smoothly between what’s coming next, and that is what our third preview is all about; a Thightjob that our characters will be spending some time on, a choice made by our community!

Even if we still want to make it a surprise, I must say that our next release is dawning upon us, even if it is an "alpha"(check our post about it to learn our definition of alpha) it will be as close as possible to what we can call a "release" version, so let's get our hopes slightly up, the Elf-Hype Train is coming!
