Magia Record S3 Episode 4 REACTION

The finale is finally here and what a crazy way to end it! This was a really fun ride, and while it had it's flaws, it was still a enjoyable journey with some of the best fight scenes that I've seen!

Magia Record S3 Episode 4 REACTION

It was damn sad that Yachiyo didn't catch on that Momoka and Mifuyu were saying a real "Sayonara." Also, Kuroe delivered better. How badass that the ED was Claris and TrySail. Truly magical powers combined.

21:35 I gaslit tf outta myself. I think I never actually watched this. O_o ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Well, now's a great time for it. Seeing Walpurgisnacht being destroyed by Madokami(or whoever) back there is so cool, yet anticlimactic. Lolz This episode got me emotional a few times. I guess I was pretty invested in this story. I hope I can get really into Madoka Exedra soon. I'll always lament that I missed out on all the past Madoka games. At least I'll be there day one for Walpurgisnacht Rising, damn it. Edit: 27:10 Hot damn. Yeah, that attack that got Walpurgisnacht was Madoka, and it looks like she didn't survive the fight. Getting to see Homura regress from the outside was awesome!!! 27:40 Mat. Excellent reaction, once you realized! 28:45 Hoky shite. I immediately teared up. 28:55 Fuuuuuuuuuuuck!! The empty chair waiting for Iroha once she "joins" them......that was my worst breaking point.

I appreciated this anime a lot more the second time I watched it, the first time I admit that I was confused by many things but I still liked it. I want to have time to find out more things about the game that unfortunately I couldn't play, since another game called Magia Exedra is coming out soon. Definitely adapting a video game with too many characters is complicated and this is only one of the arcs. In games there is more time for many things and having too many characters is actually a positive thing there, I still think the result of the anime has been good. I wish they could have adapted more arcs but the story between anime and game had already deviated too much. This anime at least tried to adapt the story, other anime that also have games, spend a season as an anime, then their story continues in the video game and then they make a second season of the anime but they take place after events exclusive to the video game so you need to play the video game to know everything that happened in between, so the second season introduces you to at least a dozen new characters in the first episode. To complement some things from the episode, what Alina Gray does in this episode is for art, she is fascinated by witches, she thinks that witches have a certain beauty. She likes the themes of life, death, decay in her art. In the previous episode Alina was making a painting, which she sent to her friend Karin who appears at minute 27:11, Karin likes to draw manga, but none of that was explained in the anime, although in some scenes of some episodes you could see Karin's manga in the background. There is an interesting thing at minute 21:39, in the distance you can see that Walpurgisnatch is being destroyed, possibly by Madoka (it's strange because they managed to defeat her, however Madoka died somehow because her witch didn't appear and Homura went back in time so Madoka somehow died or something bad happened to her). The curious thing about that scene is that it only happens in the blu-ray version, because in the original version when it was broadcast only a huge seal appears behind Embryo Eve. At 28:21 Madokami appears. I don't know if she is the one from the original anime that transcends universes or if she is a Madokami from the universe of this anime, there is still a lot that I have yet to find out. I think the video game has a happier ending because many of the girls who die in the anime are saved.

Oh that actually sounds really fun, I absolutely love Honkai Star Rail so I might check it out. Thanks!

It was fun joining the ride for you with this series. It does indeed have its flaws, but it also has some really great moments too and I'm super glad you took the chance on it! Not sure how into gacha games you are or if someone already told you, but there's a new Madoka one coming out soon called Magia Exedra, and maybe you'd consider checking it out. I think they've said it will cover some of the magia record stuff as well as surely new stories and all of the main girls from both series are going to be in it. It seems to be similar gameplay Honkai Star Rail if you're familiar with that. I'm super looking forward to it anyways!

Now that we reached the end, I can say why we unfortunately will never get a continuation, the adaptation starts deviating from the original more and more by each episode, specially the last episodes, in the original, Ui is saved, and Momoko, Mifuyu, Touka and Nemu are alive, I can still apreciate the anime version, even the original being way better, but man this ending is sad. Fun fact: at 20:58, we can see Infinite Iroha's doppel, that form of Iroha (well, not Iroha exacly, only her doppel) is like the God form of Madoka.
