Poll Results + Plans for July

Alright everyone! Aside from hitting up a bunch of the usual places that I drop notices about updated, I took most of yesterday and today off. Most of, since I'm intending to tackle some asset searching and a bit of short story work in the early am, now that I know the poll results. Since those are sort of relevant to the plans for the month (very relevant in one case), I'll tackle those first.

Arianna's Kink Poll

Congratulations everyone, you managed to surprised me :-p. I thought for sure that Pony Play was going to win, given interest that's been shown in that particular fetish/kink in my previous games. Instead, coming out with 52% of the vote, Drone Experience took the victory. This is, by no means, and unpleasant surprised. While I had originally envisioned Arianna as interested in Pony Play, the more I actually thought about it after think of the Drone idea, the more it just seemed to sort of fit with her magic in particular. It's also a bit of an exciting development, as I don't think I've ever actually done or written Drone content before. It's pretty usual for me to hit on something like that, at this point, so I'm somewhat looking forward to seeing what I can do with it. 

On that note, the reason this is somewhat relevant for July's stuff, is that I'm planning to take a crack at a Drone short story as a way to get my head around it better.  I've played games and read stories featuring it, but it's usually...pretty rapey. And you should all know how I feel about that by now. So playing around with a short (one of THREE this month, hopefully, since I missed out on one last month due to illness) will be a good way to sort of sort out how to make it work. I've got plenty of ideas. But some experimentation is called for, I think.

July's Haven's Port Focus Poll

This...is a bit more problematic. The poll came out 50/50, leaving the final decision firmly in my hands. Right now, I'm favoring the idea of doing Jerta/Paradise Island this month, as I have more solid ideas for it than I do Rose Garden/The Eastern Island. However, I'm holding off final decision until I do go on my asset acquisition spree for the month. While I already have some of the assets for both islands, I still need a few core assets for each one. So if one or the other happen to be massively on sale or something, it might still influence my decision. Tentatively, however, I'll say Jerta is more likely.

Now! As for what July will look like. First, you probably already caught that bit where I decided that 'yes,' I'll try to make up for not getting to last month's second short story by adding a third this month. This is not certain to happen. But I'm at least aiming for it to be the case. 

Next, the remaining polls for the month, for the Short Story and Comic/MMS, will go up later today (the 5th) and will run through the 10th. That's usually when I start running renders for the comic/MMS anyway, so that's a pretty normal timing.

As for Haven's Port itself. This is a rare case in that I'm actually not sure what the month will look like yet. Even once I make the decision between Jerta and Rose Garden, with the new island will come the need to refine by loose notes about those islands into something more actionable. That's largely what I'll be doing for the next couple of days. At that point, I'll try to update everyone here on what the Build will look like. In general terms however, I can tell you that if I end up doing Jerta, what we're likely looking at a larger number of traditional-length scenes, instead of the larger ones I've ended up doing for Factions and Date content. If, for some reason, something tilts things in the direction of Rose Garden, that will be another story entirely, as pretty much all the content there is more involved by it's very nature -_-. Another reason I'm honestly more inclined toward working with Jerta first, in this tied-poll situation.
